Spent a very enjoyable 3 nights here in this beautifully renovated canal house, staying in the Room at the Top. The reception we received was very courteous and friendly with staff being helpful at all times. Our room was luxuriously appointed with a hugely comfortable bed and sitting area, windows at both ends to make it light and airy with lovely... More

We had spent a lot of time researching a really special hotel to stay at in Amsterdam, but damp smelling towels and bed linen, tired bathroom with cracked wash-handbasin, spider's web and the extractor ducting hanging 10 inches from the ceiling into the shower, and rather grumpy, abrupt and rude man and woman who greeted us, stale and discoloured fruit... Beautiful way to experience Amsterdam. If you're not a bike rider, this hotel is only 4-5 buildings away from a tram stop and only three short blocks to Leidesplein, which puts you in touch with buses, we well. The room itself is beautiful and very spacious - like having a flat in Amsterdam. Large windows overlooking the canal really makes... More

My daughter and I staying at this wonderful hotel in September of 2014. Situated on the most beautiful canal in Amsterdam, the hotel is a long ago merchant's home. Our room was on the 2nd floor (Dickens), and it was quiet and very comfortable. We were glad to be on the second floor as the stairs are steep. We arrived... More

Unexpectedly good located small hotel with just 9 rooms and nice atmosphere. Classical Holland house with beams, curved stairs, high cell and great freshly backed croissants in the morning. You would never feel industrial-like approach and always can rely on hotel staff. People there are friendly, responsive and invisible. This is obviously rare and pleasant experience.

If you want a grand stay in Amsterdam try Seven One Seven. I stayed in room 7 which a wonderful living space with beautifully selected furniture. Unfortunately I like complete darkness when I need to sleep and the curtains allowed plenty of light to penetrate into the room and the outside light adjacent to the bedroom window was annoying. The... More

Beautifully decorated hotel just 10min walk to town center. Great attention to detail in all common rooms and great service with all the staff very friendly. Breakfast , although the offer was as expected, the food quality and presentation was superb. Highly recommended stay.

The hotel is so quaint and cozy, right in the middle of the city. Easily walkable to any of the museums or different areas of the city. The hotel staff was absolutely fantastic and I wished that I was staying there longer or could have spent more time sitting in the hotels rooms / hanging out in the amazing cool... More

From the moment I arrived until my check out this hotel was accommodating and I felt like I received first class treatment. Every staff member was kind, helpful and accommodating. I even left something behind and the hotel promptly sent it to me in another city. Although this hotel was quite pricey, it is very unique in its style and... More
