This is a beautiful hotel with a handful of rooms located on the edge of one of the canals not far from the Van Gogh Museum. The rooms are tastefully decorated and very comfortable - most have a seating area to relax in. There is a library and sitting room for you to have tea in the afternoon/drinks in the... More

This is a classy hotel. If you want to stay in an old merchants house surrounded by antiques, this place is for you. There are about nine rooms. All spacious. There is a very pleasant breakfast room but it does not serve dinner. However, wine/beer and lite bites are available upon request at any time of day. There are three... More

Absolutely one of the best places to stay in central Amsterdam. Very welcoming professional staff, very clean, great selection of breakfast and warm and cosy rooms. Just like being at home. Loved it and will only stay here whenever visiting Amsterdam again.

This is the second time I have stayed at Hotel 717 and I hope to stay there again. The staff is impeccable when it comes to meeting needs, the rooms and surroundings are immaculate and the location is perfect for discovering Amsterdam. This place is a true gem located directly on the canal!

My husband and I stayed for two nights at this lovely little gem. The hotel is exceptionally clean with vibrant rooms decorated high quality period furnishings. The entire staff were not only attentive to our every need but always had inviting and pleasant responses to all requests. Breakfast was perfect from the coffee to the excellent, fresh eggs, warm croissants,... More

Hotel 717 is a stylish, extremely well appointed town house in the heart of one of Amsterdam's most pretty areas. Every comfort has been considered and the hotel's polite and very helpful staff are ready to make your stay pleasant. The romance of the hotel is oozing and each room has lovely daylight and views over the wonderful roofs of... More

Excellent location; every single member of staff was fantastic; rooms large and full of character. Stairs steep so any issue re movement then you should request a lower floor. Great fun; full of art, culture and extremely convenient.

This hotel is beautifully placed in the heart of the Old part of the city, on one of the main canals. It is a highly characterful old building and some aspects of it are laudable, such as the half bottle of Krug Champagne on arrival, the classical decor and the ample size of our room. But on the hottest weekend... More

We are very sorry to hear this. It was indeed an extremely warm weekend for Dutch standards, one of the warmest of the year. Within the possibilities we have we do our utmost best to keep the hotel cool. Concerning the breakfast, we are sorry that this was not explained to you properly, as we normally do. We do hope... We have a beautiful room - Schubert - with a fantastic view on the canal. Everything about the place is homy, confortable and charming. The room is well equipped and very confortable. The staff is nice and helpful. The breakfast was good but a bit confusing and slow. It is a place where you want to stay for a while,... More

Upon an early arrival we were warmly welcomed and offered breakfast which was quite good.Giyon and Thomas were both exceptionally friendly and helpful. The Picasso suite was spacious and light filled with a canal view and nicely decorated.Prinsengracht is busy and a bit noisy I will caution you.Overall very good / excellent.
