Once a year the 'Amsterdammers' (residents of Amsterdam) have to chance to sleep for one night in a hotel in their own city during the Hotelnacht (Hotel Night). This year we were one of the happy few to stay at the Hotel Seven One Seven. Hotel Seven One Seven is a beautifully restored old canal house mansion on the Prinsengracht... More

Our stay at Hotel 717 was a dream from beginning to end! The warm welcome, the amazing decor, the super friendly staff and the most romantic room ever. We stayed all the way up in "the room at the top" and we did not want to leave the next day; we felt we could live here everly happy after

An amazingly refurbished typical Amsterdam house with suites that will bring a new sense of home away from home into the table. I loved my stay in your hotel, everything from your reception; breakfast in the room, amenities, size of the suites; location. It was ideal I will highly recommend it

When I arrived the fire place was going and I was welcomed with an offer of a drink. It was a warm place and was serviced by a staff of warm people. I would return anytime. It's a timeless place full of young staff.

An old canal house, beautifully restored and furnished with traditional antiques. This must be the best place to stay in Amsterdam for old-style comfort, courteous and helpful staff and an excellent location. We are now regular visitors .

We have stayed at the 717 twice now and were not disappointed. Wonderfull rooms, very friendly and attentive staff. The place truly has the feel of a real luxery home without the poshy/stuck up vibe. Good work. Will come back again!

I stayed in the Seven One Seven, for the second time, because it is just so beautiful. It is a mansion in the middle of Amsterdam on Prinsengracht, with individually decorated rooms (I always stay in a suite and they are huge), filled with antiques, artefacts, design objects and other beautiful things. The setting is just picture perfect it could... More

Three nights and two days in this wonderful hotel, which is more like a club, a very elite club with outstanding personalized service in an extremely tasteful decor. The service is outstanding, whether tea or drinks in front of the fire, dinner or breakfast in the room, or booking restaurants or taxis.

the hotel is superbly located, and is a former sugar warehouse...it is decorated in a funny quirky eclectic style but with great taste... Staff is wonderful...rooms are huge for the price... The only downside for me was the very steep stairs ...and my room was on high...I have never climbed such strangely pivoted old stairs, and thus needed help with... More

A brilliant place to get lost in a moody meander and a key component to any sightseeing trip to Amsterdam, this area's major draws include the Anne Frank House, the Bloemenmarkt floating flower market, an enviable assortment of independent boutiques along De Negen Straatjes, and of course all of Grachtengordel’s lovely canals and bridges.
