Stayed here with my partner basically you'd be better off committing a crime and staying in a jail cell it would be much more comfortable , cleaner & safer ! Every single human bodily fluid you could possibly think of is present at this "hotel" it's noisy and sounded like someone was kicking people's doors down ! Literally thought I... More

This has to be the most vile place on the entire planet. I cried when I seen the room and if it hadn't of been the need of somewhere quickly to stay I would have ran a mile.. Where to start , great if you're into filth. This place is disgusting. The corridors were reaking of urine to the point... More

I didn't mind the bad appearance because I didn't come to Amsterdam to sit and inspect every crack on the wall or stain on the carpet, I was out all day having fun! Breakfast is simple but for the low price I was more than happy it was included. Very thin walls barely slept all week, but who comes to... More

The location is the best. Price is the best. Walking up very steep stairs isn't very good nor the room. Shared bathroom was surprisingly clean and large. We stayed here for 2 nights. I can go on about what's wrong with this place but I'm not because I would stay here again for the price and its location. ps. They... More

Lets talk about the negative side first: there is no rooms with private bathrooms so the bathrooms are shared which is ok for me, the breakfast is very poor The positives: The view is the best view ever, the view on the canal, the main street and the central station The location is simply more than perfect since all what... The worst staff ,very bad, rooms not clean . Very loud and noisy , you can't sleep easily., not secure and not safe if you have your girl friend or kids. Even you have to care about your stuff and count it. The room is very very small and a lot of insects ( cockroach ) and the bathroom, u... More

If you just need a bed this is the place for you! Just steps from the train station and steps from the red light district surrounded by coffee shops and walking distance to the most beautiful canal's. The hotel is clean but a little ruff around the edges the staff was helpful some more friendly then others all on all... More

The hotel was situated right across from Amsterdam central station and a 5 minute walk from all the shops/red light district/coffee shops, location couldn't be much better to be fair. The staff were very friendly and helpful, room was clean and tidy, the whole place could do with a lick of paint and some new carpets but other than that... More

Staying in Centrum

Neighborhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
