Great location not far from the train station and nightlife. Stayed for 2 nights before we headed down to Spa for the F1. On the same street are plenty of nice places to eat anytime of the day. 5 minute walk to the red light district.

Location is Right smack in the city of Amsterdam! 5 mins walk to Amsterdam Central Station. Has variety of restaurants, cafes, coffeeshops and bars around the corner. May hear occasional noise from the lane @ 1-2 am... Otherwise, the room is pretty decent and value for money!

stayed here with 2 other girls. 24th - 29th Jan . This hotel is amazing! Don't expect plush towels or pillows etc. It has decent bed , pillows, blankets , showers , toilets etc. But what made it amazing is the LOCATION!! walking distance to almost everywhere! RED light district , sex museum, Central Station, Tour & trips pick up... More

Stayed here January 17th - 19th and have to say the hotel is great. Perfect location not far from Central station. Rooms are nice and clean and hotel staff are nice and friendly. I normally stay at 4* hotels but will stay here again for sure.

This hotel was ideal for what we needed. The location was just on the border of The Red Light District but not to close. The hotel was nice and quiet at night and very well decorated. The room was comfy and very clean and the bed was comfortable. We would nt stay anywhere else now we have been to this... More

Stayed here for 2 nights with a friend, both really impressed with the hotel. They were very welcoming and extremely central to where we wanted to be - about a 10 minute walk from Central Station. Spotlessly clean throughout and couldn't fault the place on anything. Were able to leave our suitcases there on both occasions before our room was... More

Stayed here for 3 days in January 16, The hotel is perfectly located for someone that's new to Amsterdam with train station, Dam square and red light district within 5-10 minutes walk. Rooms where not massive however they where clean and had more than enough space for 2 people. Staff where helpful and overall I greatly enjoyed my stay here.... More

Initially we'd booked a hotel that was a bit cheaper each night but learned that it was a bit far out. Well, when we booked this one (the price was really reasonable) the reviews were decent. We are so glad we made the switched and were so impressed with the hotel. Our first impression was when we emailed them from... More

This hotel is a bit overpriced, its location is not enough to cover the fare for a night, small room clean, very helpful staff, if you have to stay in it don't take a room over the lobby you won't sleep from the street noise, I was advised by friends to book a hotel in this location as it was... Staying in Red Light District (De Wallen)

Neighborhood Profile
Red Light District (De Wallen)
To visit Amsterdam and not explore De Wallen (the Dutch name for this area) or to go only to gawk at its saucier aspects would mean missing the opportunity to view some of the city’s most picturesque canals, historic landmarks, and impeccably presented examples of traditional local architecture – not to mention Amsterdam’s own Chinatown, Europe’s largest Buddhist temple and more local treasures. Sure, there are some less salubrious activities drawing the curious to this age-old part of time. Nevertheless, the Red Light District is still a very safe and incredibly fascinating area where at the turn of a corner you can be transported from the dingy glow of modern day neon red to a glorious 16th century Delft blue dreamscape.
