Had a great time here, toilet sect and beds were clean. Loud street outside but that's a given with the location, brilliant location, not too far from anything. Staff very friendly brilliant cheap bar next to hostel too. After staying in a nasty cheap one in Amsterdam before it was really a lot better than I expected. Would defo stay... More

I stayed here for 4 nights in Aug 2014 and only had a good time because of the people I was with and met in my room. I found most of the reception staff to be rude and unprofessional, they really pushed the pub crawl and bike hire and told us we could only go on the pub crawl if... More

we found the hostel to be overpriced for the experience which we had. Staff are rude, rooms have not been clean for the three days we were there. People were checking into the room and the sheets hadn't even been changed. Even the restaurant downstairs was a waste of time and money. Rude arrogant and unprofessional group. There are much... I booked this hostel because my original hostel was so bad and i'm happy i did. I can't say much for my fellow roommates however there is security at the front door and they are fairly on top of things. There is a bar on the first floor and if you stay there you get a discount on food and... More

The staff are really nice and friendly and the rooms are nice. The hostel is in the center. One problem that i had is that the rooms that facing to the street is very loud. In conclusion the place is good for the money you pay.

After reading a few reviews I was very apprehensive but I was pleasantly surprised. There isn't really a common room and the bathroom STUNK but the location was perfect and the rooms were good. They also have good luggage lockers. The staff were also all really friendly!

I am very happy with the White Tulip hostel Pros: - it's affordable!! Staying for 4 days/3 nights costed me little over 100 euros, excellent value for money - central location, you can go out the door, and literally hold your breath until you reach the first prostitute in the Red Light district - is clean, the cleaning is done... The White Tulip has an unbeatable location, and it's easy to meet fellow travellers. Beds were clean and ready upon arrival. A little bit noisy and washrooms were stuffy. However the price was reasonable for Amsterdam during peak season. Overall a good stay if you want an affordable short stay.

The hostel was a but tired, in need of repainting. The walls were just grubby and that did let it down. However we has a great stay. It's right in the red light district with everything you could want only meters away. This is not a hostel for light sleepers. The street is a busy street with lots of nightlife,... More

Good atmosphere with friendly staff, centrally located and each bed is equipped with a Powerpoint which is handy! The location was a bit too much for us... Being situated at the beginning of the Red Light District meant there was constantly loud music, yelling and screaming which resulted in little sleep... Good for a short stay but not for a... More
