Stayed at 3rd floor, quiet room, nice view to the canal. Steep stairs as you can imagine so consider this when you book...Cosy room you can hang in and read a book even if you dont feel like going out

This has been a brilliant find, it's central and close to everything. The staff are very helpful and attentive. The room is clean and modern. Definitely recommend this place to anyone who is visiting Amsterdam! The building is very qwerky with steep stairs, which par for the course in Amsterdam.

We are just home from our stay in hotel amstelzicht. Hotel was very central, clean and with friendly staff! The stairs are very steap and could cause issues for older plp but we had a great laugh at us trying to climb them lol. We look forward to are next stay! 😊😊

We booked the hotel because of its central location and view over the Amstel, indeed that are about the best issues of the hotel, while also the staff was friendly. However since the hotel is old and situated at one of the main streets towards and from the center also ambulances and police cars use it at night. In addition... More

Dear Mr. Alcocer, It is very unfortunate to read the review you have given us. We apologize for the noisy night you have had at our hotel. In our defense, when coming down to the reception in the morning you mentioned that you did not have much sleep, however you did not give the receptionist time to respond and find... More

Can't fault a thing with this hotel, from the welcome to to leaving, happy friendly staff.. Fanstastic location. Highly recommend it. We were in the front room overlooking the canal and as we sat in the window we noticed many people stopping to look and take photos... Dear Karen, Thank you very much for the 5/5 rating you have given our hotel on Tripadvisor, it is greatly appreciated. The hotel is indeed established in one of the three so called 'dancing houses' in Amsterdam dating back from the year 1659 in the seventeenth century. A landmark really. My partner and I visited Amsterdam from 01/12/15 to 03/12/15 and had a fab time. Upon arrival we were quickly checked in & given a map of the surround area which came in really useful. Our room was clean and maintained this way throughout our stay. We were staying in the canal view suites so the room was larger than... More

Really lovely hotel. We stayed as a couple and couldn't of asked for better service. We arrived early AM (around 9am to be precise) and were told that our room would be ready in less than 1 hour even though check in wasn't meant to be until 3pm. We decided to leave our bags and head into the centre which... More

We visited Amsterdam for the first time for a long weekend. The hotel is in a perfect location, allowing you to walk to all locations. Rembrandt square just behind , perfect. We had room 208, as much as it was clean and spacious, the noise coming from the back which I think was a bar, was terrible. Noisy from 6am... More

I can't really fault this hotel. The location is very central, just around the corner from Rembrandt square and about a 10 min walk to Dam square. I loved the fact the hotel is typical of a lot of buildings in Amsterdam, quaint but beautiful inside. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, the young gentleman(not sure if a manager...
