I was a bit worried about booking a hotel in Amsterdam for families, but this one was spot on. Lovely, clean rooms, the kids had wide bunk beds. Located right in the heart, overlooking the canal it was within easy walking distance of everything!

This hotel is situated right in the heart of Amsterdam - couldnt of been in a better location. We stayed in the larger rooms - situated next door to the hotel so it didnt feel like a hotel.....more like a rented apartment. We were right up on the third floor which felt like an attic conversion - cute but pokey... More

A good location, clean but no lift and the stairs are like practically vertical but the staff did take the bags up for us. Our room didn't have a view, it was very noisy due to the restaurants and bar downstairs. We were robbed second day in Amsterdam but the staff were helpful in lending us a phone to ring back... Dear Solu, Thank you for writing a review about our hotel on Tripadvisor. Unfortunately due to the fact that our hotel is established in a historical building we are not allowed to build an elevator in the hotel. We have strict rules with the bar next to the hotel, not very nice to read that there was a lot of... More

The Amstelzicht Hotel is in a great location in the center of Amsterdam. The building is particularly distinctive. The rooms, although comfortable, are a bit 'tight and all spaces are exploited to the maximum. There is no chance to have breakfast on site but you have to ask - charged separately - in a participating restaurant nearby. There is Wi-Fi... More

Dear Walter, Thank you for taking the time to write a review about our hotel on Tripadvisor. The building that Hotel Amstelzicht is established is indeed a characteristic building, being one of the three dancing houses in Amsterdam and also being a historical ‘grachtenpand’ is amazing. Breakfast is indeed served in a place nearby the hotel, only a 2 minutes... More

If you want to experience staying in a hotel with fantastic canal views and the old world feel then this is a great place to stay. There is no lift & the stairs are more like a ladder with carpet so it's an experience getting heavy suitcase up the many stairs. We had a very large room on the 3rd... More

Dear Jayne, Thank you for writing such a nice review about our hotel on Tripadvisor. It is nice to read you had such a nice stay in our hotel. The staircases to the third floor is indeed a little climb but like you said the view of the Amstel you get from the room is amazing and totally worth it.... More

We had a wonderful visit at this hotel during a record heat wave in Amsterdam. We both stayed in rooms on the canal, which offered a nice breeze. I later moved to a room in the back, which I liked even better. It stayed cool with open windows and was very quiet. The staff was very helpful, and there are... More

It's a typical Amsterdam hotel in a great location. The room that I had was cosy and a good value for money. My room was located up three staircases so be prepared for it.
