I was surprised, the room: two twin beds, fake wood flooring, hair dryer and mini bar. The room was clean but small. The stairs were steep, especially when carrying my bags. The staff, all shifts were friendly. Tram stop was very close as were bars and restaurants. If you plan to sleep at night then this isn't the hotel for... More

I was very nervous booking the Hotel Atlanta due to some reviews. I even did a back-up reservation just in case (Why ruin YOUR vacation by arguing with hotel staff? If a hotel is unexceptable - go somewhere else. <Check the cancellation policy of the other hotel if you decide to stay> If the original hotel refuses to refund a... More

I recommend this hotel and would stay here again. It's not your typical big lobby, fancy reception, lots of elevators, big restaurant hotel. BUT THE LOCATION IS FANTASTIC! it is centrally located - within a 30 minute walk, you can get to anything of interest in Amsterdam - the museums, the main shopping streets, train station, waterfront, see and photograph... This was the first of our stops when we went on our honeymoon, and after a slightly shakey start we had a great time! We arrived on a Monday morning, and were unfortunately greeted by a receptionist that said we couldn't check in for another 4 hours! Maybe she'd had a bad night. After finally checking in, we were given... More

Booked on Internet, and on arrival they didn't have the booking. They promised to refund any money if charged twice as I noe had to pay again. The Hotel was almost full, but they had a smaller room without on-suite as promised in the booking for the same price. The room had large windows that lead into an internal fire... More

My friend and I stayed here over New Year's Eve. We thought we were splurging on a nice place in a great location. The location was the only nice thing about the Hotel Atlanta. We booked online, and from the description, photos and rate, we thought we had reserved a room for two people with a private bath. Instead, we... More

a good hotel for a 2 star, great location but gets a bit noisey at the weekend! room was very basic but clean, bad point was the communal toilet and shower was very small and not that clean. the breakfast was very simple and you do have to wait a while for them to bring you toast. could have done... What a disaster! Our original hotel managed to double book us, however they had booked us into the Atlanta for one night. Atlanta was awful, the stairs were extremly steep, but you expect than in Amsterdam. The room was the worst part, it was a basic room, which meant it was tiny no room to swing a cat! Also the... Please be very careful when you book here as they have a habit of overbooking. As most people go to Amsterdam for just a few days you do not want to waste a whole day being shunted from pillor to post. My party was of 6 people (3 twin delux rooms which were confirmed 2 days before travelling), we arrived... More

Okay I booked the super deluxe room for a week long stay with my boyfriend. I found the room completely below my expectations even though I had prepared myself for a quirky type hotel (i.e. I knew about the million stairs and lack of edible cuisine). The "jucuzzi" was tiny and dirty. In fact the lacklustre room though it looked... More
