Me and my friends stayed here when we came to Amsterdam for Amsterdam music festival. The room was small for a 4 bedroom, and one of the beds was just a matress on the floor outside the toilet. This just was not acceptable. The quilt covers had yellow stains on and the beds was not comfterble. Don't stay here waste... More

The hotel was plain and comfortable. We were placed in the back of the building after having asked by phone for a for facing aspect. The hotelier suggested we should have requested this on the booking form. 1st night was unremarkable with no street noise. Dam Rac is the busiest street in Amsterdam. Woke up with 2 mosquito bites!! When... More

me and a few of my mates went on holiday to amsterdam and stayed at the orange tulip for 3 nights, i cannot fault the location as its bang on in the middle of town and was very cheap. on the bad side the bunks were so low you couldn't sit comfortably, we came back in one day and the... More

The worst hotel I have ever stayed in. A tiny single room is like prisoner's cell with smelly bathroom and no window to get a fresh air. For those who suffer from allergies there is no air to breathe! A sunken mattress and grey linen make you afraid to sleep in this bed - I slept dressed being afraid to... More

The hotel is well-located. However, it is in a second floor, no elevator, the reception smelled like tuna all the time, the room was dirty, the bathroom door was broken, and I don't recomend it at all.

Great location, clean rooms & friendly staff. Everything is nearby & easy to get to. Only 5 mins walk from central station so is easy to find. Room had t.v/shower ect.. enjoyed the stay. Would return again! recommended.

On booking it stated no charge would be taken from my account but noticed 2 days later a few had been taken. Upon arrival I paid the full rate for the 3 days we stayed and asked about the fee they stated would be put back into my account 10 days after the trip, I've still not received it, have... More

I stayed at the hotel for four nights. This has by far been my worst hotel experience in years. The room was extremely small, but worse, disgustingly dirty. The sheets I slept on never got changed and had a few spots of blood on it and the pillow itself was very uncomfortable. Worst of all, I noticed a few bugs... More

Lets be honest here, you're paying a low price for a hotel on the busiest street in Amsterdam... What do you really expect??? I booked a last minute holiday with my friend, we got the train from the airport to the central station and then walked 3 minutes to the hotel, we went into reception where the service we received... Staying in Centrum

Neighborhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
