On booking it stated no charge would be taken from my account but noticed 2 days later a few had been taken. Upon arrival I paid the full rate for the 3 days we stayed and asked about the fee they stated would be put back into my account 10 days after the trip, I've still not received it, have... More

I stayed at the hotel for four nights. This has by far been my worst hotel experience in years. The room was extremely small, but worse, disgustingly dirty. The sheets I slept on never got changed and had a few spots of blood on it and the pillow itself was very uncomfortable. Worst of all, I noticed a few bugs... More

Lets be honest here, you're paying a low price for a hotel on the busiest street in Amsterdam... What do you really expect??? I booked a last minute holiday with my friend, we got the train from the airport to the central station and then walked 3 minutes to the hotel, we went into reception where the service we received... Located right in the middle of Damrak street, just between Amsterdam Centraal and Dam. Small but clean rooms, convenient enough beds. Could be one of the best of relatively cheap hotels around this district. Not easy to find a reception door. Very friendly staff. Negatives: Smell from nearby restaurants. No elevator.

Stayed with my husband in Nov 2014. The hotel itself is mediocre - tiny rooms, tiny bathrooms, steep staircases. Nothing was too dirty, but the bathroom somewhat stunk. What's really great on this place is the location - you cannot get much closer to downtown for that price. Beware though, due to the location, the hotel is kind of noisy,... More

Stay here only 1 night after our reservation with Airbnb cancelled a day before our arrival. Very steep stairs just like other old building hotel in Amsterdam. Not much to comment since we only use the room for sleep and bath. Great staff at front counter. Let us keep our bags in their store room while we waiting for check... More

We had a lovely stay on our holidays in the Foreverlands at the Orange Tulip. We had a small but comfy dorm room in the centre of town, quite pricey as it was basically a hostel, but well located and they let us keep our bags with them for the whole of the second day. They we tolerant of our... More

Don't come here! we stayed a week in a room pretty for space but HORRIBLE for cleaning! sheets, duvets, pillows, towels, floor, all filthy !dirt everywhere! Window frames were filthy and broken, the curtains hanging by a miracle and full of dust. to climb the stairs were very steep (but this is typical) dirty and smelly. the shared bathroom that... I stayed at the orange tulip from the 3rd-6th of October. I read reviews on tripadvisor prior to leaving and was left horrified at what to expect from this place. However I was pleasantly surprised! The hotel is very basic but is clean and extremely cheap for the great position it is in. If you aren't fussy and are just... More
