Very friendly staff, clean and quiet rooms Decent breakfast, nothing fancy but overall good restaurant with decent prices and well cooked food. Right next door you can find a McDonnell's (no need for further comments) if you need to "junk food" your self :-) Some other hotels with decent restaurants are close by. Only 10 minutes from the airport with... More

We spent a weekend in Amsterdam to take part in a rowing competion. From here it was just 10 min walk to the Amstel and the rowing clubs. A bit far to walk to the next metro station but managable. Hotel itself was quite average, nothing special, but also nothing negativ. Breakfast was sufficent in choice and quality. It is... More

We chose to stay at the Bastion Amstel because of the price and semi-close proximity to public transportation. We were traveling with our two small children and while we had a car, we didn't want to be hassled with driving downtown and trying to park. The parking garage was free, which was a huge perk. The hotel was clean and... More

This hotel is very good for the tarvelers with car. No carpark fee. Iti s very easy to go the centrum with the metro. The hotel restaurant has just adequate breakfast ... In te city is carpark fee so high. I recommend that you take the metro to go to centrum.

overall the hotel is a good hotel, which was booked by a friend, its just a shame about the location. located near the airport, it is best to stay near central if you are doing a weekend break. which is what we were doing. there are regular shuttles taking to the airport from the hotel, and about 20 minute to... This hotel is 20 - 30 minutes (walk+train) away from Amsterdam Central. To me this distance was hectic specially in the evening when I had walked enough the whole day to explore the city. They also have connecting rooms and family rooms. The hotel restaurant has just adequate breakfast and we had a tough time getting any vegetarian choices for... More

It's a known fact, Amsterdam HATES cars so any hotel within a reasonable distance to Amsterdam Central Station with FREE parking is definitely worth a try!! Priced accordingly, this is a very average Hotel, everything bordering on OK, certainly not for those looking for a 'romantic' break. Rooms were clean, however, a little tired looking around the edges. The restaurant... More

I stayed one night in a comfort room; dimension of the room is small but not too much. Beds are comfortable, a desk, a small fridge and a kettle are available and this is nice. Bathroom is essential but very clean, only not comfortable point is that there are not places to hold anything in the bathroom. Wi-Fi is excellent... More

Came to Amsterdam for few nights. This hotel was good and room was clean, big enough. Nothing was deluxe though as it was typical three star hotel. We had deluxe room on the 10th floor with a view to the railway yard. You could hear the trains but it did not bother us much. Room had floor heating which kept... More

A hotel quite far from the city but if you want to use the Metro you can get in about 10-15 min at Central Staation. The hotel is decent and if you look for a place to rest overnight is the perfect choice. The room is small and with the furnished in order to cover the strict necesities. The wifi... More
