Ever thing was great! We had a great time in this hotel. The location looks like a great place for whom that wants to experience the night and the agitation of the city. And it was fine for us that was with a baby too.

Make no mistake, this is a no-frills hotel where you need to bring your own shampoo. You'll also need to not mind a very small room. But who spends much time in a hotel room in Amsterdam? The location is great, the staff is very helpful, the included breakfast is pretty good, and the price is right. Recommended.

Stayed here with three friends for four days in Amsterdam and we couldn't fault the hotel. Rooms clean and comfortable whilst although breakfast starts your day well. Thank you to lovely and friendly staff for such a great time.

We spent two nights at the Hotel Van Onna in July, 2015. We were offered the choice of a couple of different rooms, and selected the room on the very top floor, up five flights of stairs - no elevator. We very much enjoyed the room as it had great views of the rooftops of Amsterdam from the huge windows... More

The hotel position is quite central and this is what was paying for, definitely not for the roow that was quite poor and sad, not even a television..first time that I see that! Actually the room was at the street level, then it could be noisy sometimes. It was in the depenence of the hotel, couple of meters far from... More

The hotel was basic and clean, it did meet most of the needs of our stay. It is in a brilliant and beautiful location, on the Bloemengracht with easy access to trams and buses. The breakfast was very good and there was plenty of food, chocolate sprinkles were a novelty! The attic room which we were given initially was lovely... More

minus no internet in the room,(Only at the reception before 11pm.) no TV, bad sound insulation plus close to the center, clean, friendly staff Rooms are also heated, which is very useful when you are constantly raining.

Staying in Jordaan

Neighborhood Profile
Jordaan
One of Amsterdam’s most preferred outdoor markets and some of the city’s favorite watering holes are but two of the many reasons to save ample time for a stroll through this especially convivial warren of narrow streets with its unfair share of quirky shops and quality galleries. Historically a haven for the working class and emigrants, these days the Jordaan is better known as an enclave for artists and designers. As popular as the Jordaan is as a destination for locals and out-of-towners alike, the area never feels particularly touristy or overrun with outsiders. A highlight even for long-time Jordaan residents, be sure to accept any invitation to step within one of the area’s beloved courtyards or to have a sneak peek inside one of its many working studios.
