I have had a recent trip to Amsterdam. I was traveling alone. I wanted to be in the city centre but I wanted to feel safe. The hostel was perfect. The staff were really friendly. The dorm was clean and warm and the bed was comfortable. The staff are in the hostel in the evenings and chatted to me so... More

Stayed for five days in January 2015, solo traveler, four bed dorm. The hostel was clean, had friendly staff and sported some good resources like a kitchen (no for use by travelers) and books on the city, as well as some discount cards for various activities. The dorm I stayed in had one wall outlet, but the lower bunks have... More

My first time in Amsterdam and I was not familiar with the city. However, this hostel was easy to find and about 10minutes walk from Centraal station, through Chinatown and on the edge of the Red Light district. The staff are volunteers from around the world so speak multiple languages and will do their best to help guests during their... More

I stayed here for two nights and had a great experience. The staff was extremely helpful and always available and their security is phenomenal. The price was affordable and the hostel's in a great location central to many of the attractions I wanted to see. It was a quick 15 minute walk to the Anne Frank House and right on... More

Desite the fact that you cant even drink alcohol(its a christian shelter) the rooms were pretty great , thebathroom pretty clean at times during the day and its very safe (you get in witha voucher). Its in the red light district so its right in the city centre. The breakfast is ok for free.

The hostel is not that bad but for this price, nah. First of all, I was really concerned of the safety issue, the stairs were narrow. I cant image what would happen if there was a fire. Second, the toilet was small, you coundt really turn in the toilet. Also beware that there is no elevator , you really have... More

We stayed in this hostel for just one night, and were pretty impressed. Inspite of it being completely full, they managed beds for couple of more ppl on email request. the staff was extremely friendly and polite....although there are lockers in the room..there wont be any locks..unless u buy them from the reception...I advise to carry one small lock...in 25... I stayed in this hostel for two nights and it was really great!!! The receptionists were so nice and it's cool how they are only volunteers! I wish I got to join their evening events but i enjoyed talking to Tata and the tan guy who serves breakfast was pretty hot. It's located in the red light district, which can... More

We stayed here for 2 nights and it was great! Pretty secure - you have to show your voucher for them to unlock the front door, and there are lockers in the rooms, but the dormitory doors don't lock. The staff was nice, beds were comfortable, and breakfast is included! There aren't many outlets though, so you have to check... More
