Reception is not in the same building as the rooms... So uncomfortable when u want to enter and exit, you have to enter one door, show your key, then get out of that door outside and they would buzz you in.. So stupid and inconvenient.. Their coffees sucked big time and they should remove the big sign saying "Restaurant and... More

The location of this hotel is fantastically close to everything. It has polite staff members, a convenient kitchen/cafe downstairs but I think my positive review ends there. We came to the hostel earlier than the normal check in time and they told us our room was ready, we went upstairs to the third floor to find our beds and the... More

The location is nice here across from Amsterdam square but that's about where the good stuff ends. The rooms are extremely small even for Amsterdam and they cram too many beds into the rooms. The one I was in(hostel room) had 4 beds crammed into a space the size of a closet with 2 more beds near the front door... More

Room was small but clean, everything working, and comfy beds (although no ladder to top bunk which proved slightly difficult to my less athletic friends). Staff were helpful and professional. The 24 hour reception and small shop downstairs were handy. Hotel overall was nice and quiet, clean, and small, and in a wonderful location, we Walked everywhere in the city.The... More

The title says it all ... We loved this hostel! The staff are super friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean, as are the shower/ bathroom facilities. Good wifi signal in the rooms, and the reception/ cafe area below. Ideal location 5 mins from Central Station. Definitely would stay here again

Well, I slept here with a bunch of friends for a couple of nights..be aware of few things: the reception is a bar, the stair to reach uppers levels, where all the rooms are, is extremely tilt, narrow and kind of dangerous, especially if you carry big luggage with you. I had six mixed bedroom, with three bunk beds the room... More

Stayed in a 5 bed shared dorm. During middle of one night, the little lady in charge came up because some guy was sleeping in one of the beds and wasn't meant to be. Another night my friend found someones stuff on her bed and her towel had been used. Reception told her not to worry. Was woken in the... More

1st time to Amsterdam and was told prices were high but oh my goodness this was s.h.i.tt . Ultimately it is somewhere to rest our head, but in central London, the rooms were FAAAARRRRR better and almost a fifth of the price. I paid the same for 7 people for bunk beds for 3 nights as I did here! Do... More

The stairs are really steep but the place itself was clean and we felt safe. There was no long waits to use the shared bathroom on our floor and the beds were comfortable. The location is amazing, really close to the station and not much of a walk to the main tourist spots. If you are on a budget this... More

Staying in Centrum

Neighborhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
