Where to begin? This is without doubt the worst 'hotel' I have EVER experienced, and I have tried a few budget hotels in my time. The check in was deceptively pleasant. A nice lady with efficient and polite customer service. It was downhill from there. The single room was small, as expected, but what I didn't expect was the smell... More

Stayed for three nights with 3 other pals in two twin rooms. Not all rooms have basins as advertised on their website. It was absoulutely filthy and stank of smoke and stale urine. The curtain was held on by two hooks and the walls were daubed with obscene grafitti and what appeared to bo excrement. I wouldn't let my dog... More

As we stepped into our room we were assaulted by an intense smell of vomit. Windows were not closing well. The moquette on the floor was dirty and completely stained. Choose this only if it's you last chance to find a place to stay in amsterdam. The photos are not corresponding to reality. Stairs totally unsafe and claustrophobic. Shared toilettes are... More

I stayed at the the Quentin Arrive in April '06 as a group of 7 guys and girls on a weekend break from work over 4 days. The hotel itself was very easy to find and the female member of staff who booked us in was very friendly and helpful, her male counterpart wasn't quite such a joy to deal... More

The only redeeming quality of this hotel was its location. You could also sleep on the street and have a good location. It was dirty, staff was discourteous and incomptetent, no security, maitenance was basically none. There was exposed wiring, windows that wouldn't shut, no curtain to draw over the window, and a teeny tiny staircase that would have prevented... More

I would only recommend this hotel if this was the last available place in the whole of the Netherlands and you had little money. Where shall i start? The Bathroom - shower head repeatedly came off, toilet didn't flush properly, no plugs in either bath or sink and there was a hole in the ceiling through which i'm sure i... More

Ok, so we started by lugging my friends case (consisting of a months worth of fashion for a four day break!) up, what we named the Stairs Of Death. Sooo narrow, steep, dangerous after a few etc. But it was abudget we were on so, hey ho. Until the last night of our stay, when i awoke at5am to said... More

I had prebooked and stayed on the first floor. the whole place had an air of terminal decline, rooms were filthy with stains gathered into some sort of art work. I had to share toilet facilities which were the worst id ever encountered. To say they were grotty is an understatement with human waste scattered everywhere eg body hair blocking... More

I stayed in this hotel in December 2005. While I was sleeping a someone with a knife slipped the lock on my room door and stole my jacket, wallet, mobile phone and camera. The knife was on the floor of my room when I woke up. I lost almost £1000 worth of property.Amsterdam police were very helpful. The thief must... More

I booked this hotel and then read reviews of it, so I had prepared myself for the worse. After a bit of a struggle finding the place (due to our stupidity rather than it being hard to find) I was surprised by the room. One good thing about all these negative reviews is that they make it hard for the... More
