There was no air-conditioning so we had to leave the window open and so it made it noisy in the room especially at night. The stairs are really steep and small so it can be quite scary going up and down. Good location, free WiFi and rooms were larger than that shown at booking.

Stayed here 18th July, total of 10 of us for the weekend so we had 3 rooms spread over three floors. The basement room was grim with 4 guys crammed into a dorm type room with a bathroom but no hanging space or window, hot and humid. My room 211and was fine with a bathroom and two large windows over... More

We stayed in a twin bed room on the 4th floor, which was clean and basic, just a fair few stairs to tackle with our backpacks on! Australian lady on reception was lovely and very helpful. The bike hire was cheap and convenient and everywhere was within walking distance, very close to the train station, would recommend if you're on... More

I can honestly say, this is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in, anywhere. The hotel was booked as part of a group booking for a stag do and some of us stayed for 2 nights and some for three. The cost for the two night (3 in a basement room) was E358 yet those staying for three night... More

Stayed here with my boyfriend for 4 nights. Location was really great, within a 5 minute walking distance from central station, where we arrived from the airport. Only used public transport once (to museumplein) as everything was easily within walking distance, including main tram stations. Staff were friendly, room was clean. Shared shower and toilet which is something that has... More

This inexpensive (for the area) hotel is quite small and cozy. The taxi driver had trouble finding it because of the way the streets change names, but eventually we got the job done. I'm glad we didn't try to walk from the Central Train Station, not because it's far, but being unfamiliar with Amsterdam, it would have been frustrating finding... More

Everytime i even think about going back to dam, there is only 1 place i look up to c if they have any rooms, (this place) has very clean room and ontop all the main reasons most people visit dam. Make sure u ask for a smoking room first though before lighting up thinking 'when in dam'

If my experience when checking in had not been as follows this review would not have been needed. Me and friends arrived at the hotel at about 10am, we'd flown from London at 6am so understandably were tired, we asked if there was an possibility of an early check in and this lady (short brown hair) rolled her eyes and... Hotel is basic but rooms are clean and adequate. Staff are polite and helpful, offered advice on the local area and recommended places to visit. Great location, managed to walk almost everywhere. Have stayed here 3 times and would stay again.

Just arrived back from staying here , hotel rooms were basic, nothing fancy but did the job . Good location with coffee shops and bars nearby. Our room was always too warm and the window couldn't be opened. The australian receptionist behind the desk was very rude and abrupt tried having a go at us at every oppurtinitiy and had... More
