The staff were excellent and very helpful. The hotel is near the museum area and well situated. I had a single room which was a little small but clean, the size of the room wasn't really important to me as I was out most of the time thus it proved good value for the money.

We stayed at Hotel Asterisk for our first trip to Amsterdam. Location: From the airport we took the direct train to the central train station. We then used tram line 16 or 24 to get to the hotel. The hotel was located 2 mins walk from the tramline which is very helpful considering the fact that the area was a... More

The main attribute for this hotel was its good location and clean accommodation. Breakfast was reasonable. I lodged for 4 nights in June. The guest room is tiny, you have to argue to get an additional flimsy towel. There are no wash cloths, tissue boxes, ice, or similar expectations to be provided by a hotel.. There is no air conditioning... More

Dear guest, Thank you for your review. It will help us to improve our service. Each guest is provided with a small and a big towel, which will be changed every day when the guest leaves them on the floor. You asked for 6!! extra towels upon check-in, which you were provided with inmediately. We do have ice cubes, upon request,... More

This was a wonderful hotel - on the outside of the "central" part of the city, but still an easy walk to all locations. The first two days we walked all around the city, and then our last day we rented bikes from the hotel and rode everywhere. It has been recently remodeled, has a very nice breakfast included, and... Great location in a quiet neighbourhood just 1 minute from trams, buses and canal boats and 2 minutes from the Heineken Experience museum. Staff were really friendly and helpful and provide tips on trips, travel and eating out. Large modern rooms with good facilities and excellent continental breakfast included. Great restaurants nearby, try Monteverdi or Taj, and lots of coffee... More

It was really a hard task to figure out negative things about this hotel as everything was positive and almost perfect. Location was so good, not so far from city center and it requires 10 - 15 minutes by tram to reach Dam Square . 2 tram lines to central station are just 2 minutes from the hotel in addition... More

We were lucky to get a booking at asterisk during Easter break as all other accommodations were full to the brim. Was abit pricey but was expected given the season. Location was better than expected. Only 700m from leidseplein and all the museums and canals. Short walk to nearest tram station. Hotel was overall small. Rooms were large enough but... More
