I love this hostel. The hostel is located in the famous Vondelpark. There is a restaurant and bar inside and the food is amazing! It's a fun hostel and very spacious! I recommend this hostel to those who are skeptical of hostels. Security is a plus here and it's safe and close to all attractions. It's clean and the employees... More

Two nights booked here on a short trip with a friend. Great location, safe, quiet street. It's a hostel and accordingly the room was sparsely furnished with just a couple of beds and a small table and lamp in the room. It was absolutely spotless throughout. The staff were cheery and helpful, breakfast was nice and I really couldn't fault... More

Spent 4 nights here in a 4 bed private room. The location was right off Vondelpark and about a 5 minute walk away from Ledseplein (restaurants, coffeeshops, shopping) and about 20 minutes from the Red Light District. Breakfast was decent and the bar and games room offered great areas to hangout in. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and the... More

Had a great weekend in Amsterdam and the 'Stay Okay' hostel really added to the experience. It is centrally located and reasonably priced. The staff were friendly & helpful and the hostel itself was very clean. We had a free breakfast with a selection of cold meats, cheeses, breads & cereals. I will say the coffee machine did produce some... More

Was booked into this hostel as part of an organised stag do so wasn't expecting much when we arrived, however it completely exceeded expectations, yes it's a completely no frills experience however every area was spotless clean, rooms were sizeable beds comfy, decent shower. Not much else was required for our group. They've got a bar/restaurant where the food was... More

This is a great hostel. The people are very welcoming and helpful. They answered all my questions and helped me finding my in the City! The rooms are convenient, clean and were just right and fit for purpose. I highly recommend it, whether you traveling solo, with your friends or with your boy/girlfriend exploring crazy Amsterdam

I went there for 3 night with 5 of my friends. We booked a familial room for 6 persons and it was very good and big enough! The shower was big as well. This hostel is very well located near the Vondelpark and the Leidseplein (good place to go out at night with a lot of bars and restaurants). The... More

My first question is who decided on this name for a business? Stay OK? Sounds like stay mediocre or they are not very enthused about their business. On the other hand, this is more honest in their case than being named Great Stay Hostel or something more positive. This is the biggest hostel chain in The Netherlands and I would... More

I'd agree that the location of this hostel is perfect, right next to the Vondelpark which is great for a walk at sunset. The dorms and bathrooms are all kept very clean. I wouldn't say that this is a very cosy or welcoming place, feels a little bit sterile. This put me in the mind of a hospital or mental... More

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighborhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
