This hotel is 300m away from Museum Plein, so it's great located. It's built on a converted Amsterdam mansion so it's narrow, but somehow they made it work. Decor is busy but tasteful. The rooms are tiny and warm (air con is available though), so great to spent the night but you could not spend more then an hour in... More

Super small hotel with tiny rooms, but the most comfortable bed on our trip with the best air conditioning! It is impossible to shower without flooding the bathroom too. Besides that, really nice staff that spoke English and gave good recommendations. Close to the trolley system and some really cool attractions.

Rooms were nice though a tad small. The breakfast was great, staff were friendly, and the location is awesome! You're a hop and a skip from the Van Gogh Museum and a number of others. You're about 4 blocks from the shopping area too. I walked all the way to the Red Light District from there and it only took... More

Friendly reception (limited hours) and nice room. Generous space for single guest, short stay, but perhaps a bit tight for 2 persons with heavy luggage. Quiet except for very sensitive people. Nice coffee place on corner across the street, restaurants nearby, museums and RAI Conference center within walking distance (10~20 minutes); Shiphol airport busstop 5 minutes at Concertgebouw (€5 fare).

Warm and welcoming staff, very helpful in explaining what to visit and how to get there. Small rooms but clean and comfortably arranged. Free and working wi-fi. The hotel is close to the museums and we really did not need to use any transportation. Closer by you can find anything you need in one of the local supermarkets Albert Heijn.

Nice boutique hotel with 18 rooms at great location. Location is quiet, in nice residential area and close to museum square area. Rooms are small, 12, 14 or 18 m2. The latter is the deluxe room. Did not have breakfast but smelled nice 😀 Staff is helpfull and friendly

The Hotel is in a quiet street but close to Museumplein and within walking distance of Old Amsterdam. Public transport links are close by as well as a wide range of restaurants. We were shocked at the size of our deluxe room. IUt was very small with nowhere to put anything. The bed was comfortable. It was very hot and... More

Fabulous place to stay. Lovely hotel in a great quiet location close to the trams into Amsterdam. Staff were really nice with Susan being there to welcome us. She was really nice and very helpful as was Phenny who was really nice as well. Can't say enough positive about this place. Very nice little place up the road that does... More

I was a little reluctant to stay here since it was so close to museumplein, I thought it was going to be noisy but it was very quiet and I had a lovely stay here. I stayed here for 3 nights and it is in the best location. The staff were very friendly and I felt welcomed here. My room... More

Cute boutique type hotel very nicely located in a residential area. It was only a five minute walk from the tram. Close to Vondelpark, the museums and canals. Very easy to get to from the airport by bus. The hotel was very clean and the staff was fantastic. They were friendly, knowledgeable and helped with all of our plans. If... More

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighborhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
