We arrived at our original hotel only to be told our reservation had been canceled. There was another party with the same problem. Both of us were moved to the Armada. We were told when leaving that the Armada had agreed to pay the taxi but that never happened when we arrived. The price for the room plus the 3%... more

I moved from one hotel to this one, which I was so pleased about, the room were just the right size, it had an elevator, breakfast is included in the price, its not a luxury hotel but has everything you would require from hairdryer, breakfast, tv, phone, lift, is close to everything and very very helpful staff. Its a lively... more

I have never written a bad review before, if I wasn't happy with my experience I would tend to just chalk it down to experience, however..... First with the good points.. the location as everyone says is excellent, and the staff were friendly, but that's the end of the positive stuff. The rooms are tiny and seriously basic which you... more

Good location and the staff were very friendly. I would recomend that you book a double room and not a twin if possible, the doubles are much much more spacious (twice as big) and are on the top floor away from the noise, we however stayed in the twin room which is on the ground floor, so our window was... more

I was a little apprehensive about this hotel after reading the mixed nature of the reviews but I needn't have worried as it was an OK little budget hotel. I went with 5 other friends and we had two triple rooms - the room that I was in was a bit on the small side but we managed. The bathroom... more

We stayed for 3 nights over a weekend. The hotel was booked by a friend for a group of us and, after looking at some previous reviews we were a little worried to say the least. It didn't turn out to be as bad as we though and, for the price, in Amsterdam it was OK. Good location right on... more

Went there with a mate in Nov 07 hoping to finally see some of the cultural side of Amsterdam. The location of the hotel is superb. Theres a tram right outside and you're a 20 min walk either north to the red light area or south to the museums and my favourite square in Amsterdam is literally right around the... more

We stayed in the armada for 3 nights over New Year. We paid quite a lot of money for this period. The location is great on the corner of the Keizersgracht and the Utrechtsestraat close to the Rembrantplein and on the tram line. I am a frequent visitor to Amsterdam and this is one of my favorite parts of the... more

The setting of this hotel is good, but it is nothing special in itself. Watch out though. They took an unauthorised sum of money from our debit card after we had left and 3 months later have failed to reply to all approaches by me and my bank to have it repaid. more

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights in May 2007. Being frequent visitors to Amsterdam (we go about 4 times a year), we have stayed in many different budget hotels there and this one was by far the best. Its located right beside a canal and we had a lovely view from our room overlooking it. There is a... more
