Just returned from 5 Day stay on first floor of Museumzicht Hotel. It was perfect location for getting to Van Gogh,Rijks and Stederlijk Museums early to avoid he long queues . Ony saw the proprietor briefly however her male colleague was extremely helpful eg warm welcome and helped me exchange theatre booking for Anne Frank play ( well worth seeing... More

The Hotel was clean and it was the centre of the city. You can go anywhere easily from hotel, also it'is so close to Vondelpark... The staff was helpful and breakfasts are free and good. The prices should be a bit lower...

This hotel was very nicely located but without a great deal of nearby noise. The staff were very polite and help full, they were happy to give us directions and recommend a restaurant. The breakfast that was included was really good. I was travelling for a few months around Europe and this stands out as the best breakfast :) ohh... More

As said above, its location is a plus, it's quite close to most attractions and we didn't have to use the public transport at any time. Within a 5-min-walk you can find supermarkets, shops and some of the main attractions in Museumplein. Rooms are fairly small, but it does justice to the hotel which is pretty small too. BF is... I stayed at the hotel during my trip through Europe. I got a single room on the top floor with a beautiful view. The location was perfect - Museumplatz is my favourite place in Amsterdam. It's close to the central part but rather calm and quiet (in November at least). Hotel is well connected with the airport (direct bus 97)... More

I spent one weekend in Amsterdam, December 2014, and I decided to book one room in this hotel. This time I was travelling alone and they gave me a room that was just below the roof. The bed was very small. There was a small desk as well and a sink. The toilet and shower were very small as well... More

First of all, the location is very good, 2 minutes away from the rijksmuseum and 25 minutes from dam square on foot. Tram station nearby. The receptionist gave us a warm welcome and she was very helpful! Our double room was very nice and clean and so was the bathroom/shower. They also provided us with a hairdryer when asked. Breakfast... More

The hotel is located in the museums areas and it is really 5 mins walking distance from the most important ones. Also close to the area where boarding on canals tours. The hotel is clean and also the shared areas like toilet and shower are well kept. Breakfast is really abundant and owners are nice and friendly. Room are not... More

this hotel has the best location in amsterdam. right across the park from the rikesmusum! also a five minute walk to the leidserplain..couldn't be a better location for a tourist in amsterdam. but you must be aware that you have to walk up steep stairs to get to your room and the rooms have shared toilets. still, if those two... Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighborhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
