We had an amazing stay in July 2015. The sunhead is in a perfect location for sightseeing and the owners couldn't be more helpful on recommending places to go / eat ( the Thai restaurant around the corner is amazing ). We had a brilliant stay and hope to go back again.

This was a wonderful place to stay right on the edge of the Jordaan. You are close to The Anne Frank House and many other sights. We were in the top floor room and it was perfect. Cozy and clean and it had a wonderful view out over the canal. Unfortunately, Carlos and Roelf have recently sold to enjoy their... More

We had a great time with Carlos at Sunhead. All of his recommendations were spot on. We were provided a drawn out map of the best places to eat, sorted by price, and described in detail along with suggestions of what to get there. We were also given suggestions for breakfast with great descriptions (we recommend the one with pancakes... More

We enjoyed our stay at Sunhead and the location was great. There were no problems at all and Carlos was very accommodating from the moment we arrived. We had the attic room which was fairly small, but had a high ceiling and a window to open and a stand fan as well. The room was nicely decorated and comfortable for... More

Staying at the Sunhead is like staying with friends. This small 1617 canal house is run by two gentlemen, Carlos and Roelf, who basically are welcoming you into their home. The Inn has four rooms, unfortunately ours did not have a canal view as we had booked on short notice. There is a nice "happy hour" from five to seven... More

This place was perfect for us. We loved the second floor canal view room! It was exactly what we were looking for. A place with lots of character. The chocolates and other treats were so delicious. I bought some of the little chocolates to take home! Carlos was very friendly and helpful with tips. Your highness (that's the cat that... More

We chose this because of it's great location in Amsterdam; you can walk to just about every part of the city! And when walking is too far, the trams and metro are very close, too! We stayed in a top floor (4th floor) rear bedroom. This room was very comfortable, with a double bed, modern bathroom with a shower, and... More

The hosts, the rooms, and the location were all perfect - it was exactly what we wanted for our 3 night stay. The small details make all the difference - really good reading lights, Nespresso machine, hairdryer, iron and ironing board - all very thoughtful things that make a big difference when you don't have them. If we return to... More

We have just got back from the best weekend in Amsterdam. This hotel is a real gem. Carlos, the owner is attentive without being overbearing. He really goes to extra effort to ensure you have all the information you need to have a great stay. The hotel is gorgeous, small and just a complete delight. It is central to all... More

Can not say enough great things about this place. Stayed 3 nights in August 2015. Rooms are small but comfortable but you are on a quiet street in a nice part of Amsterdam, yet very close to the Jordan area and more touristy spots. Happy hour every night from 5-7pm was a great way to meet other guests and share... More
