Vlad and Ken made us very welcome at their establishment. Positioned beautifully in Amsterdam, basically around the corner from Anne Frank's house, this B&B was like a home away from home. The breakfast on a morning was sensational, home cooked pastries and a variety of choice. Breakfast is at 9 am, which could be a little inconvenient, if you want... More

If you have friends and extended family in Holland as I do, you may already be aware of an alarming uptick over the past two years in anti-tourist editorials and propaganda in Dutch newspapers. Even as their national air carrier KLM runs regular promotions and giveaways to increase American tourism to Amsterdam, the city of Amsterdam has recently become the... More

Dear guest we want to thank you sincerely for sending such a detailed account of what is happening in Amsterdam in your opinion. We can not thank you enough for your support in our efforts to stay in business with the city of Amsterdam trying to hard to close us with regulation changes and hefty fines. We sincerely hope someone... More

We visited Amsterdam from 30 December 2015 - 3 January 2016 and stayed at Maes & Heren. We arrived on time and were warmly greeted and shown to our room which was a couple of minutes walk away from Herenstraat on Singel 95. Our room was lovely with an excellent bathroom and as we found out later on the most... More

thanks to Maes B&B for our visit at the end of October. Amazing hospitality and such a characterful place where you step out in to classic Amsterdam at the front door. And really conveniently located for the station and everything on offer. Thanks again. Richard, Jane, Adam and Olivia

We were welcomed by Vlad on our arrival. He gave great tourism advice as soon as we arrived. He helped add the concierge app to my iphone which was a great help. The rooms were very clean and well furnished. All the staff were very friendly and we had great breakfast conversations with Nicoly. The food was very good. The... More

Location could not be better. Herenstraat is a quiet street of historic buildings with great restaurants and shopping right there and beautiful canal views moments away! Vlad was a courteous and helpful host. lWould definitely stay again!

Had 5 very comfortable nights in the Yellow suite which had bedroom, bathroom and very large (for Europe) lounge area overlooking the street. Walking distance from the train station and in a very safe and interesting area - very close to the Jordaan markets and Anne Frank House. Vlad provided me with a wonderful GPS iPhone app that would take... More

We had a wonderful three night stay at Maes in November. Our quiet room had pretty garden views, a very comfortable bed, and a lovely and spacious attic bathroom with rain shower and large soaking tub. Breakfasts were bountiful and and delicious. Vlad was extremely pleasant and helpful, and the app he installed on my phone and ipad was very... More

I stayed in Amsterdam with friends as an extended weekend break following a brilliant Foo Fighters concert. This B&B is in beautiful building in the heart of Amsterdam, close to the central station and city sights. I was in the basement room which was comfortable and perfectly adequate for my needs. There was an en suite shower with the toilet... More

Vlad was the perfect host. His recommendations for places to dine as well as other aspects of Amsterdam helped make our first visit to the city a huge success. His app for the I-Phone which located neighborhood hot spots was a huge help and a wave of the future. Also, the breakfasts were great both for the food and the... More
