We had the yellow suite for 7nights. It was as pretty as the pictures. Breakfast time is wonderful... Freshly baked croissants and freshly brewed coffee! They also had poffertjes! Meeting other guests and sharing breakfast was a nice thing. Linen and towels were changed on 3rd day. Location was really nice! Restaurants and interesting shops nearby. The only warning is... We stayed at Maes for 3 nights in October 2014. Location was perfect, very close to Anne Frank house, Damrak, train station, etc. Because it's a B&B and not a hotel, it has a much cozier and quaint feeling, which we appreciate. Everyone we encountered was fabulous and helpful. I'm horrible with names but the gentleman that made breakfast in... More

My partner and I stayed at their location off the Singel canal. Our room was excellent - very clean and airy. Breakfast in the morning was expansive. Plenty of food options to begin the day and a great chance to exchange stories with fellow travelers. We were just minutes from the central station and from the energy of Central Amsterdam... More

We have stayed with Ken and Vlad on many occasions, and they are the perfect hosts. We simply wouldn't contemplate staying anywhere else when in Amsterdam. The accommodation, breakfast, location, amenities and welcome are everything one could hope for and more. Can't wait for the next time :)

This was our second time staying at Maes, last time we stayed in the appartment, this time in the actual B and B . Our room was huge, separate sitting room and a very modern bathroom including a bath. Breakfast was all you could have asked for, ceral, pastries fruit and cold meats. Once again Ken and Vlad have outdone... More

Stayed in the Heren B&B this time and it is very lovely. The room was sleek and warm. The breakfast was exceptional and Vlad is the perfect host. The location is perfect with easy access to the tram system. Will certainly stay here again.

First, the location here is excellent, as one of their sites is right on a canal. This is a very central location for the first-time visitor. Many major attractions are within walking distance, if not right around the corner. The internet was weak in our basement level room, but good in the public area. The breakfast was very good and... Went to Amsterdam with a friend for a city break weekend and had the best time here, the location is perfect, the building is beautiful and the breakfast and hospitality were exceptional - I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again - in fact, I wouldn't go anywhere else.

4 of us all female friends. We went for bnb option. Amazing find! We had two twin rooms opposite each other so it felt like our own private apartment and space. Ideal we could leave our doors open and get ready and talk to each other. The dining room and main kitchen were above us so we could smell the... More

I did not stay at the actual B&B but in the rental apartment two doors down, for a week. My friend and I found it well appointed and convenient. We stayed in an apartment that has a bathroom one flight upstairs - which was interesting and mostly fine although my friend griped about that a bit. The bathroom was nice,... More
