A central and quiet hotel! A little old in the bedroom, and especially bathroom, but very clean; no possibility of breakfast but you can bring and leave something to eat. Globally nice welcome and possibility to rent bikes at the hotel!

The only positive point about this hotel is the location - it is just a 5 minute walk from Dam Sq. and along a nice residential canal. Other than the guy who originally checked us in, the staff are incredibly rude and disinterested. Rooms are absolutely tiny with no facilities such as a fridge, safe or tea and coffee making... Great location in Amsterdam centre - museums, Zoo, Red Light district and nice supermarket in radius of 10 min walk. Best value for the price. Clean room, nice and friendly staff, WI-FI was OK. Excellent place for a short stay.

I should have known when I entered the place & got the smell. this hotel is infested with mice. You are not permitted food in the room so we had drinks, as allowed and a mouse ate through the bag.after going down to reception, waiting 20 minutes for the night porter, went back to bed and saw a mouse running across... After spending far longer than I would like searching for an affordable yet decent hotel in Amsterdam I found this gem and could not have been happier. Positives; The staff in the hotel are without a doubt the friendliest and most caring I have ever come across. A special mention must go to Pierro (top bloke) whose insight into the... More

I stayed here last year and am planning my return visit. Hotel was difficult to find at first but it is very central to lots of attractions, out of the way enough to get a good night sleep. Staff were friendly and informative. Would recommend for friends.

I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights on a city break with a friend in April. The owners of the hotel were very welcoming and friendly and the reception was clean. This hotel is in a beautiful central location on one of the prettiest canal stretches however the hotel is abit squashed in terms of the room and facilities either not working or of poor standard. However the staff and manager are very welcoming and gives information freely. This also has a great chill out/smoking area I the basement which is... More

Staying in Centrum

Neighborhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
