Had a five day vista to Amsterdam in July 2014. Stayed in the Hotel Arena with is just next to Oosterpark. It is in a peaceful quiet location but yet still cloase enough to all the busy tourist areas. We flew into Amsterdam from Aberdeen and in the five days we used every form of transport available, Taxi, Bus, Tram,... More

We stayed here in the last week, we thought it would be just right for being in between centraal station and the Heineken arena which it is. Great connections for the tram and metro lines. The room was clean and the beds very comfortable, but the walls are very thin and the door connecting the hallway and stairwell kept slamming... More

Stayed at this hotel with some friends while in Amsterdam and loved it. Rooms were very clean and staff helpful. It was a little away from the centre, but this didn't bother us. Found a lovely restaurant just down the road which had delicious food and very well priced for dinner. Probably not a good idea if you like a... More

Good hotel with lots of history to the building, although trying to mix trendy and posey with history is never easy, this is a fail, a pity because the staff were great and the food good. Good access to the tram system and buses.

The hotel is very nice and beautiful. It's full of history and it makes you feel in a special place. The restaurant and breakfast are good and there's a big choice, except for coffee and tea. There's a little garden very nice and with trampoline and a toboggan for children. We didn't get te opportunity to try it but the... More

€10 for a taxi from Central station to the hotel, tram lines about 8 min walk from hotel reception. Inside it's very dark, trendy and chic. Was welcomed at a very plush reception area and was greeted by friendly staff. The hotel was spotless, the rooms and lay out is very strange and it's easy to see was a hospital... More

The staff were very helpful, the rooms were nice, the price was cheap and the location was great. On our first night, there was a strange noise coming from the AC ducts which was keeping us up, but once reported to the staff they were helpful in arranging a replacement room. The rooms themselves were quite modern looking and comfortable.... More

Arrived and checked in early, was upgraded to a studio room on the top floor free of charge which we were happy about. Staff really friendly. Location is ok... More

We flew into Amsterdam via Bristol airport and KLM airlines (hand luggage only and not weighed at Bristol), landing at a Schiphol airport. We then caught the train for 4 Euros each into the city.
