Positive: Comfortable bed. Negative: Noise like moving tables at night, music heard through the wall, water in bathroom didn't drain including the sink. more

The Arena is located only four metro stops from central station (therefore within easy reach) and close to the centre, but not so close as to have crowds walking around it. We were so lucky as to occupy one of the newly refurbished rooms and I must say that I was pleasantly impressed. Our room had very high ceiling; a... more

I was there for 3 days with a friend. The room we had was beautiful. Not large but the bed was comfortable and the whole hotel was clean and airy. It's a really amazing looking place. This place has suffered in the past from bad feedback but I think the recent renvations have done the trick. It's not the most... more

I loved it here. The rooms were duplexes with the bed upstairs, which i found was fun esp the tall ceilings. The location is just mins from central Ams by tram, and kinda hidden, so very peaceful. Rooms were clean and minimum, but was great value. the restaurant had great food, and service was fantastic, they were used to spaced... more

we got to this hotel accidentally .on the first impression, the hotel is very unique and special.it looks like castle from old movie.the building is very beautiful but the renovation wasn't so good unfortunately:the walls very thin, the isolation is terrible and you can hear everything in the rooms and corridors, the room is basically new but very tiny tiny window so it's... more

Thank you for the time you have taken to describe your stay with us. Please allow us to respond to some of the issues you raised. All our rooms are renovated. With great pride, our rooms are featured in this monumental building of 1890. Your room was apparently situated on our 2nd floor, under the roof where the windows are...

You can easily spend the same money and end up in a mouldy run-down whole in the wall in this town. The people at Arena must be really in it for the long run, delivering design hotel style and high quality interiors, perfect cleanliness and kind service to make you return and recommend this place (this is why I take... more

For my 40th birthday, a friend of mine arranged an entire Amsterdam weekend (musical, dinner, after drinks, clubbing, shopping, lunch, the works...). He knows me very well and he is... more

I stayed over one week-end in one of the best hotels I ever stayed in. The hotel has got a parking, a gorgeous look and set standards for people willing to stay in posh and trendy place. Rooms are clean, minimalistic style, super stylish decoration and very nice showers. I recommend the room with the bath (224). Service is good,... more
