Well, you pay a low price for a hotel and then what you get is just ok. Rooms are ok, staff is friendly enough, location is very good. We booked 2 rooms but somehow one of the rooms wasn't aviable when we arrived (overbooked?). We had to search another hotel in the middle of the night and the guy at... More

the hotel is in a good position. its very central. the stuff is very very friendly and helpful. the rooms are clean and also the wc is ok. the stairs to the different floors are a catastrophe. it is alittle bit dangerous especially for older people. no elevator!

I checked into this hotel yesterday with my husband and son for 2 nights & can't understand some of the bad reviews on here!!! We first stayed at this hotel 25 years ago before our son was born and the transformation is amazing. We have stayed in a huge number of Amsterdam hotels over 25 years and in comparison to... More

We would not recommend this hotel to anyone who is not very fit. The stairs are impossibly steep (almost like a ladder) and there is no lift. We are in our our 60s and my partner struggled to lift a heavy suitcase up to the third floor and was not offered any help by staff. The room and bathroom were... More

Hotel is close to city center, railway station and museums. Located in a nice and silent street. Rooms don't have private toilets and furniture was old. Not so clean and cosy but cheap. Owner wants comission for visa payment and you can not use your american express. Breakfast was poor.

Even if Kap hotel is not so close to the central station of the city, it is the right choice for people who don't want to spend too much and feel comfortable at the same time. i spent 3 nights in this hotel while i was traveling around Europe with two friends of mine. The guy at the reception, who... More

I normally don't take the time to write a review, but I feel obligated to do so with this hotel so I can help fellow travellers. We just finished a one month trip around Europe, and this was the most disastrous hotel of the trip. We actually did not end of staying the night here even. After being issued a... More
