Beautiful hotel, great location, interesting architecture. The rooms are all unique. The service was terrific. The concierge, the front desk, housekeeping and the restaurant staff were all exceptional. The breakfast buffet was delicious-everything was well presented and so fresh. Would highly recommend staying here.

First class property and people. Amazing staff, they do what they can to show you a good time and are all impecably polite. The Conservatorium is a perfectly located luxury hotel in the centre of Amsterdam.

The hotel location is wonderful , surrounded by the museums and a lovely park .the tram stop is just outside the hotel and it is the most convenient way of getting around the city.but the eateries close by are expensive and cater to the tourists only. The hotel has the most modern amenities and delightful staff ,who were not only... More

First rate property. We stayed there last year and again recently. Amazing staff, they do what they can to show you a good time. The staff set up Anne Frank museum and Van Gogh tickets, restaurants rez, etc. The entrance is amazing, 8 stories of glass above you. The solarium includes checkin, restaurant and lounge. The breakfast is among the... More

Conservatorium is a perfectly located luxury hotel in the centre of Amsterdam. Perfectly restored by Piero Lissoni ia a great link between modern taste and old tradition. With an harmonic aesthetic the restoration this hotel can really be the destination for a demanding luxury traveller. The bathroom are spectacular with a precious work of travertino marble....the only complain is the... More

This is a breathtaking hotel with an excellent location and fantastic service. This was our first visit to Amsterdam. I loved the city and would love to return just to stay at the Conservatorium. The hotel's architecture is a juxtaposition of the old-world conservatorium with contemporary flair. The hosts (concierge) were very friendly and helpful, reserving excellent dinners, assisting with... More

Wonderful architecture, great Dutch (Italian in fact, Piero Lissoni) interior design! Located in the museum district its just great. Depending on the season it can get really expensive but worth every penny. Very kind and attentive!. Restaurants and bar are great!.

Without a doubt the ideal hotel and location to stay when visiting Amsterdam on holiday. The property is in a perfect location relative to three museums and the best luxury stores. As for the hotel itself, very contemporary. The rooms are clean, well laid out and comfortable. Among the amenities is a nice supply of Nespresso capsules for a morning... More

For anyone considering the Conservatorium Hotel, it is outstanding. The ambience was pleasant, food delicious and service from the concierges consistently helpful. If you like art museums, you are within a five minute walk of the top ones in the city. We found it easy to walk or take the tram to the canal district.

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighborhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
