This hotel occupies an excellent position next to all the major museums in Amsterdam. It is very contemporary on the inside but they building itself, which is listed, is an ornate 19th century confection. On there whole the old and the new work well together and there is definitely a 'wow factor' when you first enter the hotel and first... More

I went on a family holiday in August 2014 to Amsterdam, my first time. We chose this hotel not knowing much about the city and from the moment we arrived we felt welcomed and comfortable! The staff were so friendly and accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed. The room was beautiful, it had two floors and a... More

This hotel is wonderful architecturally, and the rooms are beautiful. I was most impressed with several of the staff members, namely Etan, who is a host, and who was amazing and so generous and genuinely caring, as he helped us plan our visit. Like Etan, Susan (sp?) is all heart, and upon our arrival spent much time with us, showing... More

Our stay at The Conservatorium was simply a wonderful experience. We arrived from the airport and the valet and bell staff greeted us by name (how did they know?? That attention to detail isn't lost on me!). One of the staff members Max showed us to our room and gave us a succinct history of the hotel. The hotel is... More

second visit stayed 4 nights and was still overwhelmed on how perfect staff- service- location- design was !!!! Etan and Mark from the guest relations managed to find the most impossible tickets - The food and breakfast were also perfect !!! I am so desperately fussy( designer!!!) and could not fault this hotel !!!

The place really nice. We reserve for 5 guests, there were only other 4 people at the Restaurant when we arrive. We order two appetizers and five main courses, the appetizers were brought about 15 minutes, but for the main courses we had to want for an HOUR! The Food very plan, and with an HOUR wait, the experience was... More

The area in which the hotel is located is charming with museums, shopping and very close to a great canal ride. The staff were very helpful and our room was phenomenal. The hotel is quiet, luxurious, and has a wonderful atrium lobby to sit and people watch.

The hotel is stunning and the level of service I received was among the best I have ever experienced. I highly recommend The Conservatorium and would definitely stay there again if I ever make it back to Amsterdam! Although expensive, the quality of the amenities and level of service make it worth it. The neighborhood is the museum district and... More
