We stayed at the Skotel in Amsterdam and had a fabulous time. The room was very comfortable, clean and large. It had all the amenities, and the breakfast was great. During the day one can also use the cafe for coffee and in the evenings as bar. The drinks are all very cheap and their upscale restaurant is very well... More

I was very unsure what to expect from this Hotel, the reason for our journey was because my son was applying to study at the university that is attached to the Skotel. So, I knew that the hotel would be being staffed by students at the university, many of them still in their first year of studies. I have to... More

As student of Hotelschool it is really nice to see and to feel how much effort students and stuff are putting in, in such a wonderful concept. The combination of service, the practical education for students, and the overall environment in the building is in many ways potential. Potential for the school, and above all potential for the city of... More

We visited with our two grown up children. The location was perfect, ten minutes by tram right outside the front door into the centre of Amsterdam. Great rooms, really clean, stylish and peaceful. Each room is decorated in a different style. The breakfast was delicious, very generous and served by the delightful students of the Hotel School who can't do... More

Un peu loin du centre ville, mais l'hôtel est très bien desservi par les transports, un personnel souriant et arrangeant et un hôtel avec beaucoup de charme, propre, convivial et agréable qu'on a un peu de mal quand même à quitter. A bit far from city center, but the hotel is very well served by public transport, a smiling and... More

I stayed in this hotel in July 2013 with my son (15) and niece (21) and we loved it. For a price of just over 100 € (a bargain for Amsterdam!) we got a brand new and shinny, big, comfortable, stylish room and a breakfast that exceeded all expectations in opulence of food (mostly homemade!), quality of ingredients and imaginative... We stayed here over night, we did not know what to expect. We booked dinner at their formal restaurant it has one setting an evening only the four course meal was out of this world. The wine accompanied the meal was perfect combination and the balance of flavours and presentation was first class. Every course was explained to us in... More

I visited Amsterdam with my daughter in the beginning of March & decided to stay at Skotel. It was the best choice for us as it is located in a quiet area of Amsterdam but close to the city center, Tram no 13 takes you there in 15 min. The service is impecable, run by hotelschool students, but in a... More
