This campsite is in a great location, 10 minutes walk to the Metro and a fairly quick journey into the city centre. Our caravan pitch was spacious and well screened with hedges on either side. The shower and wc block are in decent condition but with no baby baths. The minor niggles are that no soap is provided anywhere and... More

Very good camping for people wanting to go to Amsterdam : metro just 5 minutes walking, city center 45 minutes biking (very easy to follow the path!). Do not expect extraordinary facilities, but everything is clean, with helpful staff, and the overall price remains very cheap!

The positive is that it is easy to get into the city from the campsite. The several negatives include: Showers you pay 0.80€ for that provide only warm water and on a very brief timer (Also irritatingly there is nowhere to sit down to dry your feet!) Washbasins, including those in toilets, that have no hot water or soap Free... More

This place works like a well oiled machine. Bookings all taken online. Fees for a coin for a shower-about 80 cents. Great reception staff (we got Van Gough tickets from them so went on a faster line than than turn up on the day people so well pleased with that) Also got Canal cruise from them as well as 2... Needed a convenient caravan site from which to access Amsterdam & the marathon and this site couldn't have been better placed. A 5 minute walk to the metro then 15 minutes into the centre. For the marathon itself just 1 change of train & access easier than from Amsterdam centre as many tram routes were not running due to the... More

Stayed here for 5 nights with the caravan on family recommendation. Nice clean site, but echo sentiment of "penny pinching" as you have to pay extra for showers, hot water etc. It isnt the cheapest site near Amsterdam, so paying extra was annoying. I can imagine it would get very busy in the holidays as its a big site. Luckily... More

Another trip for us to Gaasper camping. We usually camp here at least once a year but we didn't come last year. We always have a great time here and this year was no different. Made even better by the free wi-fi, all over the campsite and welcome addition of toilet rolls in the toilets! Didn't use the camp restaurant... More

The only camping ive seen in which you gotta pay for hot water, for showers, for everything... The supermarket is everything but "super". The prices of the restaurant were too high and the staff there was also unfriendly. I wouldn't recommend this camping to young people.

Great campsite with easy access to centre of Amsterdam....and cheap!! We stayed here for 4 nights and loved it. Really well situated, very helpful staff, free wifi and well stocked supermarket. Only a short walk to the train and about 20mins on train to the centre of Amsterdam. Would definitely recommend :)

Our stay at the Gaasper camping was outstanding! We didn't have much camping experience, but in combination with the metro at a 3 minute walk and the lovely crew that was very, very helpful we had a great time. Free Wifi was great. Forget the B&B's and hotels ;-)
