We stayed at the Bridge Hotel for 3 nights in the Amstel Gold apartment (The slightly larger of the 2) and had a fantastic time there. Plenty of space for 4 people since there was a double bed and 2 singles. There's also a spare mattress so I assume you could sleep 5 people comfortably. There's plenty of space to... More

My self and 3 friends stayed here in the quadruple room and it was amazing. Our room was huge and we had lovely views from the balcony. It was very clean and the staff were friendly. It's pretty close to everything, it's only 10 minute walk to escape nightclub. We were on the top floor and there's no lift so... More

We stayed at the bridge hotel for three nights & found it more than suitable for our stay. We had one of the basement rooms with skylights, and it was lovely and quiet away from the buzz of the streets. The room was tidy & warm and the bathroom was clean, with a walk in shower & toiletries provided. The... More

Booked this hotel for a 2 night city break. Close to metro so easy to get to from the airport, Hotel pretty good location for all the attractions, a little walking but that's what we like and plenty of restaurants close by. Staff very friendly, the room was airy, clean -, comfortable and we had a great view over the... More

I recently stayed at The Bridge for 4 nights over NY, in a twin skylight room. The beds at this hotel are DIVINE with the comfiest pillows and loveliest duvets. They were my favourite part and I struggled to drag myself out of it into the cold winter. Both the bedroom and bathroom were immaculately clean and well-kept and we... More

I stayed for 3nights at the Bridge hotel in a single room. The room was small, but had a bed, table, bathroom and big windows. The location near Metro line Weesperplein was very good. I could walk a lot of places. Since it is winter, they had a bunch of umbrellas for borrowing. There is free tea and coffee in... More

Booked the Platinum Apartment (top floor) for 3 nights in this hotel for my family for our annual pre Christmas trip to the 'Dam. And blimey, what a fantastic find. Perfect position, overlooking the Amstel River & The 'Skinny Bridge' and just 5 minutes walk to Rembrant Square. The view from our apartment was worth the price alone, spectacular. The... More

Great location in a quiet neighborhood. Just two blocks away from tram that takes you to the city center and Amsterdam Central train station. Very good room with great beds. Breakfast is okay, but plentiful. Front desk people is not the most friendly but certainly helpful and efficient.

We were a bit surprised by the unprepossessing reception area but the receptionist was very friendly and helpful. Our room (204) was very large and clean, everything worked. Decor was rather industrial, with rubber flooring and metal lockers for clothes. There was a (shared) terrace with a part view of the canal. Altogether a fine place to stay in the... More

Staying in Plantage & the East

Neighborhood Profile
Plantage & the East
The eastern edge of central Amsterdam provides visitors with the chance to imagine the city that Rembrandt called home (and to tour his historic house) while shopping like the thriftiest of locals at Waterlooplein’s massive flea market, or even enjoying a craft beer beside the tallest wooden windmill in The Netherlands. This verdant, serene, and stately part of town is home to Artis Royal Zoo, one of Europe’s oldest (and still best kept) zoos, and Hortus Botanicus, one of the oldest botanical gardens in the world. It's also an ideal setting for the Dutch outpost of St Petersburg’s Hermitage.
