we stayed for 1 night and it was the cheapest option in the center. we had a room without windows which was a bit gloomy, but the price was adequate! the room was clean, the hotel nice and well located. we loved the breakfast! may recommend.

Excellence location close to everything and yet very quiet. Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice large room and a god bathroom. God breakfast - although I missed more wholemeal bread and a little more fruit. Can definitely be recommend.

Great service from the front desk service. Hotel clean and tidy but by no means any wow factor. Average breakfast with no hot choices, but still ok. Great location in Amsterdam near the subway. The location seems is quiet & nice shopping is waiting around the corner.

Great hotel at a good price given it is handy to much of Amsterdam. Right on the canals by the "Skinny Bridge" with trams and buses very handy. Staff were very helpful and the breakfast was more than adequate.

The bridge is located at a nice spot, 2 blocks away from a famous bridge and from a couple very good restaurants. Almost a walking distance (on average 2km to 4km) of main attractions (museums, Anne Frank, etc.) but I prefer this because it is more calm. Team is very attentive and will help you with reservations, taxi, etc. Very... More

We loved The Bridge Hotel. The location is great, the rooms large for Europe. I loved our view of the canal and the beds were very comfortable. It's just a short stroll to metro and tram stops and Rembrandtplein where there are restaurants and a pretty squre. Breakfast was nice and provided us with so many choices. I really only... More

Hotel is nearly 300 mt by walk to waterlooplein tram station. Breakfast is very tasty and wifi is very fast and stable. I honestly recommend this hotel. There wasnt any annoying noise so we could sleep comfortly. personel is very kind and helpful.

My husband and I stopped for two nights and found the hotel in a good location with very helpful and friendly staff. They even helped us up the dreaded stairs!:) Comfortable bed, a couple of good restaurants across the main bridge and easy to walk or tram to most of central Amsterdam. It's not in a touristy area so best... More

My husband and I stayed here for a weekend side trip while in Brussels. We chose the hotel due to its central location and because of the nice photos on the internet. If you have plenty of luggage and you have problems walking up the stairs, this is not the hotel for you - there is no lift. I was... More

Staying in Plantage & the East

Neighborhood Profile
Plantage & the East
The eastern edge of central Amsterdam provides visitors with the chance to imagine the city that Rembrandt called home (and to tour his historic house) while shopping like the thriftiest of locals at Waterlooplein’s massive flea market, or even enjoying a craft beer beside the tallest wooden windmill in The Netherlands. This verdant, serene, and stately part of town is home to Artis Royal Zoo, one of Europe’s oldest (and still best kept) zoos, and Hortus Botanicus, one of the oldest botanical gardens in the world. It's also an ideal setting for the Dutch outpost of St Petersburg’s Hermitage.
