Hotel is nearly 300 mt by walk to waterlooplein tram station. Breakfast is very tasty and wifi is very fast and stable. I honestly recommend this hotel. There wasnt any annoying noise so we could sleep comfortly. personel is very kind and helpful.

My husband and I stopped for two nights and found the hotel in a good location with very helpful and friendly staff. They even helped us up the dreaded stairs!:) Comfortable bed, a couple of good restaurants across the main bridge and easy to walk or tram to most of central Amsterdam. It's not in a touristy area so best... More

My husband and I stayed here for a weekend side trip while in Brussels. We chose the hotel due to its central location and because of the nice photos on the internet. If you have plenty of luggage and you have problems walking up the stairs, this is not the hotel for you - there is no lift. I was... More

Stayed at the bridge last month for a short break in the city, excellent location, friendly staff and a really clean spacious room, something that is quite hard to find in this city. After staying in many hotels in the city I would highly recommend thia to most people

Went here on a surprise trip for me girlfriend, we combined it with the Carré which is practically next door. The staff was friendly and the room was decent. Nothing outstanding though and when we came in later in the day we saw them not handle an angry customer very well (although we had no idea what was going on).... More

We stayed for 4 nights in May 2015 and were pleased with our choice of hotel. It is located on the Amstel river very close to Magere Brug a short walk from lots of restaurants. Our room was large with a view onto an adjoining canal and a side view of the famous Magere Brug itself. The room was clean,... More

Our bikes were damaged while in their garage. A torn saddle, bent brake rotor, buckled wheel and scratched down tube suggested that they had been hit by a vehicle. Unfortunately the hotel reception were of absolutely no help when alerted to the problem.

We stayed in a 2-twin bed room with lovely canal view. It wasn't large - but high ceilings and 2 huge windows gave it a spacious feeling. Very clean & comfortable beds, but no safe, no drawers or suitcase stands, and shower had no door which resulted in wet bathroom floor. As others have stated there is no lift, but... More

Staying in Plantage & the East

Neighborhood Profile
Plantage & the East
The eastern edge of central Amsterdam provides visitors with the chance to imagine the city that Rembrandt called home (and to tour his historic house) while shopping like the thriftiest of locals at Waterlooplein’s massive flea market, or even enjoying a craft beer beside the tallest wooden windmill in The Netherlands. This verdant, serene, and stately part of town is home to Artis Royal Zoo, one of Europe’s oldest (and still best kept) zoos, and Hortus Botanicus, one of the oldest botanical gardens in the world. It's also an ideal setting for the Dutch outpost of St Petersburg’s Hermitage.
