Use this hotel regularly on business and it never disappoints. Location is probably second to none wthin the City. River at the front and a canal down one side and another across the back. Plenty of passing interest at all times and in summer a beer on the bench outside is a must. Plenty of restaurants within a few hundred... more

The Hotel was perfectly located in the middle of all tourist attractions. It was very easy to take a bus, tram, metro or walk to all major locations/attractions. The staff was very friendly, approachable and helpful. The room was perfect in size, very clean and bathroom was quite big and also nice and clean. The room was cleaned every day... more

We stayed in the hotel in end December. Used the tripadvisor rankings, and then directly emailed the hotel. Pros 1. Great location. Right in front of the Amstel canal. 2. Good housekeeping. 3. Nice cafeteria around the corner. 4. Walked to pretty much everywhere in Amsterdam. Cons 1. The rooms are quite small. 2. Can get stuffy. 3. The breakfast... more

We stayed 2 nights here. On the plus side the room we had (Number 1) was spacious, clean, very comfy bed and excellent shower, if a little chilly (no rugs). BUT This room is in the basement next to the service corridor. The (very early) morning staff were noisy and woke me up just before 7.00. There are large windows... more

We had initially booked 3 rooms at this hotel and had to cancel one room at very short notice. This was done very efficiently and with no problems from the staff, who were very helpful throughout our stay. We were staying in Amsterdam for a football match and in all the hotel was very tolerant of supporters who had possibly... more

I booked the hotel for one night durig a buissness stay. When I wanted to chck in, I could neither pay by credit card nor by my bank card due to a technical problem of the hotel's machine. When I asked to pay cash next morning, the receptionist refused and made me go to a ATM although it was raining.... more

We booked quite late but having read the reviews on this website we were pleased to be able to get a reservation. It was my fiancee's birthday weekend and this sounded like an ideal place to stay. However, on arrival we were allocated a room right opposite the reception. We could hear everything going on there despite the receptionist's promise... more

My sister and I had room 103, a twin room opposite the reception desk on the ground floor. If you are a light sleeper and do not like using ear plugs, make sure you don't get this room or 102 next door. It is a bit noisy especially at night. Staff were smoking in the reception area too, so this... more

We stayed for three nights at this very comfortable and well located hotel. The staff were welcoming and accommodating - not that we needed any assistance from them. I requested a modern room over looking the Amstel river which was spacious and clean and the view was really beautiful. The breakfast was fine, plenty of cereal, fruit and bread to... more

We stayed there for 3 nights. The room was very spacious. We booked one of the rooms with Amstel view. Therefore great views especially at night time. I can comment on the cheaper rooms to the back. The rooms were very clean, but equipped very basic. All looks like coming from IKEA - and it prob does. In relation to... more
