It is a three star hotel with an average status although it clean for those who want to only sleep and fair price . The help desk is very coarporative and helpful. Thier is no a/c in the rooms. The toilet is a bit old . The beds is not comportable i woke up with a backache. But if you... More

Hotels in the centre of major European tourist cities, in peak season are expensive and obviously the quality of what a visitor receives is related to the cost. The Falcon Plaza was relatively cheap but not phenomenally so. We paid around €140 per night for a double room with breakfast (booking direct with the hotel gave the free breakfast compared... More

This is a 1-2 star hotel at best, we paid £90 online a night to stay here and it is the pits. We was in the hotel for an Hour and just left and moved into a new hotel as it was so run down. It is a good 15 minute walk into the central area and it's in a... More

Yet again we have used the Falcon Plaza Hotel, yes it needs up dating and the Wifi is a little rubbish. But the staff are friendly and helpful and have always been professional. The breakfast was basic but fresh. The area its in is up and coming. Rooms although small have always been clean and tidy, and the showers are... More

Quad room, spacious with gd view. There's a hot wave while we were there but luckily there's a fan. So its not too bad. Would be better if theres air con. Location wise its okay, 10 mins walk from metro, quiet, supermarket 3 mins walk. Wifi is a bit weak. But the staff were incredible friendly and made us feel... More

Went there with my sister as our first girly holiday together for her 18th birthday present. We were so impressed that we are booking out next holiday with them in November. Wonderful staff very well spoken and very polite. Daily room checks which was very reassuring. They hold your luggage for you before check in and after check out which... More

First, Amsterdam is expensive in the summer, so this was the least expensive, most centrally located place. And it got the job done. My first concern is always location. I like to stay as close to the action as possible. This hotel is two stops by subway from Amsterdam Central, about a 20 minute walk, and 10-ish tram ride (I... More

The room was so small shower was super small, and we think it's not so clean. Location is good, it's close to opera building. And I think we paid more than it deserves. I think there is much more good option could find in Amsterdam. So I do not recommend this hotel.

Good oriental theme like hotel. We was a group of 4 girls, so we got given a ground floor canal window view. Room was spacious and beds were comfortable but the downside was the shower head in bathroom didnt work properly. Breakfast was help yourself buffet style. Decent english breakfast of eggs, bacon, sausages, beans, bread, rolls, croissants, cereals, tea,... More

Staying in Plantage & the East

Neighborhood Profile
Plantage & the East
The eastern edge of central Amsterdam provides visitors with the chance to imagine the city that Rembrandt called home (and to tour his historic house) while shopping like the thriftiest of locals at Waterlooplein’s massive flea market, or even enjoying a craft beer beside the tallest wooden windmill in The Netherlands. This verdant, serene, and stately part of town is home to Artis Royal Zoo, one of Europe’s oldest (and still best kept) zoos, and Hortus Botanicus, one of the oldest botanical gardens in the world. It's also an ideal setting for the Dutch outpost of St Petersburg’s Hermitage.
