A nice place to stay. Clean hotel and friendly staff make this a place that I would consider staying at again. The only bad part is the steep narrow stairs. We were on the 4th floor, so lugging your suitcase up these stairs is a chore.

We only ended up staying here because we were tired, having driven into the city late in the day. We should have known better with how we were treated upon arrival. Our room was incredibly hot with no air conditioning, but more importantly, amazingly loud. Earplugs couldn't keep the noise at bay. Although a great view from the room, you... More

Stayed for 4 nights over Amsterdam Pride, as usual in room 239 with super canal view. Staff in breakfast room and reception very friendly and helpful. Rooms and hotel spotlessly clean and nothing was too much trouble even let us keep our food and drinks cool in fridge in kitchen. Loved seeing Taz the resident German Shepherd who is getting... More

We stayed in the family suite on the first floor, two interconnecting bedrooms with a bathroom and a great view over the canal. It was perfect for us and the children and the breakfast was fine too. The only little minus was the noise from the street all night, when the windows were open (it was very warm last week!)... More

Stayed here with a friend last week. Very good location for a hotel and convenient for walking everywhere you might want to visit. It's within the " Nine Streets area " and there are lots of places to eat in the evening. The hotel is a very interesting building and it was very unusual to be able to stay in... More

The staff at the hotel were very, very nice and helpful as well. The breakfast was okay but nothing special. I suppose you could characterize the hotel as funky, but it really needs a re-do. The location is excellent and the neighborhood is great. I think the hotel is a bit overpriced at $200 a night.

The best part of this hotel is the location. If you just need a place to sleep and be within walking distance of everything then this will work for you. Just a warning...if you have any problems climbing stairs this hotel is not good for you. The stairs are extremely steep!! It's almost like climbing a ladder to get to... More

This hotel is very cozy and comfortable and when you compare it with some of the other hotels in the same area it is a terrific value. We had one of the back bedrooms with no canal view. But it was charming & spacious with a desk /chair and two additional chairs. The beds are perfect! The room was completely... More

My wife and I, plus our college-age daughter and son, took an 8 night trip to Belgium and the Netherlands in June 2014. We were in Amsterdam for three nights at the Amsterdam Wiechmann Hotel. The location was probably perfect, sitting on the intersection of two canals, in the center of all the tourist sites, but in a basically quiet... More

Our room was on the corner of the first floor. The room was very spacious and there was a nice deep tub in the bathroom. The young man who checked us in was the most helpful and outgoing of all the staff we encountered. The hotel has no air-conditioning and without the windows open, it would have been very uncomfortable... More
