During christmas which is last month December 2011, I stayed in this hotel just for 2 nights and it was really comfortable in all aspects, the staff, the food, the service, the cleanliness and so on. Though it's just been refurbished but they made it to complete at the right time. More

Newly refurbished rooms make your stay as good it should be in Amsterdam, staff also really helpfull and willing to support you in any matter. Location is the best in town !! Only thing to add on is the small space for the breakfast, they should either make it in a bigger room or extend the breakfast time in order... More

There does appear to be a reasonable amount of criticism made against this hotel, and whilst it is very basic, it still should be considered if on a budget. Yes, the rooms are small and the bathrooms a little cramped, however to its credit, they are clean and reasonably comfortable, Quite simply, if you want a hotel with a little... More

While small, rooms are quite functional and comfortable. I was there for two nights in January and found it a good value, close to the tramline, museums and restaurants. Quiet tree lined street with beautiful period architecture. Not for people with mobility problems or expectations of 5 star ammenities, recommended for the adverturous at heart. More

Clean comfortable rooms in central Amsterdam. Good hotel for the young traveller that needs a bed, bathroom and breakfast. Rooms are small but comfortable and clean. If you want to party all night and only need a place to crash for the night then Acro is great. There is no lift and stairs are steep, old and unfit avoid. More

OK; the point is you're not going to spend a lot of time in your hotel so on that basis, this is a good value place to explore. The tram is nearby and Leidesplein and museums a short walk. It is scrupolously clean and teh showers are good. However, the room and bathroom were absolutely tiny so 2 of you... More

Arriving at the Hotel Acro is not great. There's a flight of steps upto the entrance of the hotel and no sign of help for lifting heavy suitcases. hotel lobby is pretty dingy as well. HOWEVER, give it a chance and get to the rooms and they are modern, light, white and bright with comfy beds, good showers and free... More

TRIP This was our first trip to Amsterdam, we travelled as a couple aged 20 and 18 for a 20th Birthday in February 2011. I booked the hotel online through the DFDS site which had a deal on for two nights on the ferry and one in Amsterdam. As there was a budget the Acro Hotel was the first picked... More

I was very positively surprised about Acro Hotel in Amsterdam. Typically small hotels in Amsterdam have narrow and steep staircases to the rooms and not so good bathrooms. This hotel had a lift, renewed bathrooms, 24/7 reception, a good breakfast and very friendly and helpful staff. The location was good and peaceful, just next door to the National Museum. There...
