Acro is in a very good location-next to the partially closed Rijksmuseum, Near Vanderpark, and away from the fratty dirty tourist disneyland that is now the center of amsterdam. The rooms are small and college dorm like, the staff was agreeable, the free breakfast was passable. However, on the first night WE GOT BEDBUGS!!!!! I was attacked a ridiculous amount... more

As a hotelier with a good reputation Bed bugs is the worst that can happen to you. This is why we immediately provided another room and put the previous room out of order to have it checked by a professional extermination company. No (traces of) bed bugs were found. We are VERY sorry for the inconvenience and do everything to...

Stayed here for 4 nights and it was great. Perfect place to stay for the budget traveller who wanted a private room with ensuite We were a group of 4 in our late 20s and this was the only one of a handful of places that had rooms with 4 single beds. The room isn't fancy but it was clean... more

I was in Amsterdam for 5 days (including the Queen's Day 2009 celebrations) and was very happy that I chose the Acro for its location (so close to the Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh Museum that you can easily get there early and near the front of the queues!) and price. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room I... more

This hotel was great value for money and centrally located to a number of attractions. The rooms (& bathrooms) were clean and tidy. The staff were very helpful in providing assitance with directions to attractions, parking etc, as well as tips and information and help with the wireless network. The breakfast was of a reasonable standard and good value for... more

Great location, friendly staff, and a super price...very good value for money. The room was very neat tidy and compact, however i was unlucky in that the weather was cold and very wet, and due to the wooden floor, and the the bizzare sighting of the radiator behind the wardrobe, the room was freezing ! It was also not helped... more

Was in Amsterdam for the Holland v Scotland game and had been recommended the Acro, booked at around £180 between two of us for two nights and the hotel offered great value for money. All of the staff we encountered were very friendly and went out of their way to help you with anything you asked. The rooms were clean... more

This is a simple, but really good hotel. The front desk staff are super friendly and speak perfect English. The breakfast buffet that is included in your room rate has a nice variety of breads, condiments, cheeses, deli meats, hard-boiled eggs, cereals, yogurt, juices and coffees and teas - a really nice way to start the day. The rooms are... more

I was pleased to find the Hotel Acro. I have been looking for an acceptable $50 hotel (Euro 40 on their web site) in Amsterdam and I have found it. Nothing fancy, but clean and functional. The location is in the museum quarter and you are a stone's throw from the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum. There are two... more
