Didn't need the trams. 10 to 15 minutes walk, always interesting, to the museums, Anne Frank house etc. Lots of bars and restaurants in area. Very helpful owners, esp. Frits. Our room was recently refurbished. Very comfortable. Would be five stars with an elevator and no mosquitoes (keep the windows closed). If you can't do stairs then not for you

Perfect location, truly downtown! In the same street as the bench from the movie "the fault in our stars". You can reach everything by foot in the city centre! Owners are very friendly and know Amsterdam very well. They referred me to a lot of great restaurants and museums. Room is very spacious for a B&B in Amsterdam!

We had the pleasure of staying here 31st of July for 2 nights, This is not a massive soulless chain hotel it’s small and personal . Simply everything we could have hoped for. The room is the 2nd floor (room 3 ) the room was hands down the cleanest room I have ever stayed in. There is a mosquito net... More

I travelled to Amsterdam with a friend for a long weekend and thought long and hard where to stay. Finally found a B&B with great location and we decided to give it a try. And this place is amazing! There are three reasons why I will stay at this place for my next visit. First is the location – it’s... More

We just returned from Amsterdam. Had a great time enjoying the old and the new sides of its culture. Our enjoyable experience was enhanced by our stay in De Leidsche Hof. It combines the warmth of a charming Bed and Breakfast with the professionalism of a hotel. Its location couldn't be better: next to the Nine Streets, Leidseplein, Kalverstraat. Pure... More

We had a very comfortable four night stay at this lovely B&B. Our room had a great view over the canal and it was only a three minute walk to the Koningsplein tram stop which was convenient. The beds were comfortable and the main room was very spacious. Fritz gave us some helpful advice on places to go and see... More

I Iived in Amsterdam for 3 years about 35 years ago and this B & B is the real deal. The location is just perfect, the breakfast very complete and Loes was extremely helpful in his suggestions regarding restaurants, parking and general travel info. Yes, there were a couple of mosquitoes occasionally, but nothing disturbing. Really a nice place.

The hosts, room and breakfast were great. The location was good and central to all. The entrance is a bit misleading. It was cold and sterile, not like the rooms upstairs or dining area. Our bedroom was very roomy and the bed was cozy. Lots of interesting fashion paraphernalia on the walls that I meant to ask about as they... More

We spent 2 nights at this lovely house which is in a central but quiet part of the city. In summary, a comfortable room, great breakfast, charming hosts and a very reasonable price. We felt quite spoiled. Would definitely recommend this hotel for a short break for 2 adults looking for a peaceful base.

We had a great room for a nominal price right in the middle of everything. You can walk or bike to the train station. Nightlife and people watching are the best. The hosts were helpful and the breakfast was ample with good conversation and advice.
