Great location, spotlessly clean, nice friendly staff, quirky and nice breakfast. Stayed here for 2 nights and had a lovely time. One down side the wall are very thin you can hear everything and I mean everything!! Rooms are a little on the small side but apart from that it's a fab hotel.

Situated on a beautiful, peaceful stretch of canal, this hotel lived up to our high expectations - and more! Friendly, helpful staff, very convenient location and quirky decor with little details that really made the Max Brown stand out as stylish and individual, including the wall at the bar for guests to write their comments. Our twin room was small... More

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed every minute. The hotel oozes style and quaintness. We loved the Max Brown team ... they were incredibly helpful, professional and friendly. The breakfast was more than adequate. .. gorgeous breads and superb coffee. The bar is very reasonably priced and their Heineken is a damn sight better... More

The location of this hotel can't be beat! You can walk anywhere in Amsterdam from Max Brown! The staff are welcoming, helpful and friendly. Breakfast is great and filling. Our room had a beautiful canal view. The room is small but smartly decorated. Anyways, who sits is their room in Amsterdam? A great little hotel. I would definitely return.

Stayed for two nights over a weekend break. Rooms are typically small for European cities, but that's not an issue if you're using the hotel as a base to go out and explore, which this hotel is great for. It's easy to walk to the train station or into the main touristy areas. Initially the bed linin was dirty, but... More

Max Brown Hotel is in a beautiful location overlooking one of the main canals. Great restaurants (especially De Belhamel) and independent shops are close by, and when the bridges light up at night it's simply stunning! The area is also very quiet albeit being only 10mins walk or so to the station and near to the centre. The staff were... More

Location is 10 minute walk from Central station. All staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room really was tiny - you couldn't open the bathroom door fully as it hit the bed, but it was clean and shower was good, and lets face it, you don't spend that much time in your room on a weekend break. Good value... More

Was a beautiful hotel in an awesome location so close to everything. The room was beautiful and in a super clean and modern condition!! The hotel was very modern and very appealing! The 4 flights of stairs that you had to climb yo get into the room were steep! Taking luggage up and down was tricky. Was fine for us... More

We stayed at this hotel for three nights and would certainly come back. The hotel is small and simple, but clean with modern interior and a relaxed and urban vibe. The breakfast is simple, but tasteful and have all the basics you need. The location is superb, only a short walk to the central station and the neighbourhood has numerous... More

I'm thoroughly impressed by the standard of this hotel. The hotel offers Great value and comes highly recommended. The location is 25 min walk from the Dam and on the canal. They offer free breakfast and free cabal tours three times a week. It results in a niche cliquey boutique feel that I'm quite fond of.
