Ok, you' re in Amsterdam. First time or maybe 3rd or 6th time . Whatever, you are walking up and down the streets by the canals or you are cruising by in canal boat looking at all the Dutch houses, maybe Ann Frank's place. You wonder what would it be like to live in Amsterdam, look over the canal scene,... More

The hotel is in a brilliant location-only 5 minute walk from central station and close to the main town, but of a night away from the busy streets! Was perfect for us. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room we stayed in was very clean (cleaner came in daily to change towels/bins) and although some would say small, it... More

We got this hotel included in a package deal online with our flights and couldn't believe how cheap it was. It's in a perfect location just 5 minute walk from central station, and of an evening you're away from the noise of the main streets. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and they gave us tips on where good... More

The negative reviews are all completely ridiculous on this hotel as we didn't fish a flaw the whole stay. Homely feel, friendly staff, and most importantly free WiFi (which worked fine). We had a room three stories up in the loft area which is quaint and romantic, although quite a climb, is a true representation of Amsterdam homes. Basic breakfast... More

Check-in - Room category booked was overbooked on arrival so were downgraded to a standard or superior room which was disapointing. Staff - OK but not super friendly or accomodating. Seemed to constantly be stressed out or something. Dining - Breakfasts were minimalist and felt crowded. Room - Very small. Up a lot of (very narrow, very steep, very scary!!)... More

I was really nervous when I booked this hotel as the negative reviews they seem to have attracted through over booking rooms. I feel very relieved to check in and our room was secured. The service was lovely, staff were about if needed but the hotel has a very home from home feel and approach. You make your own breakfast... More

In the middle of summer, we were looking for hotels in Amsterdam and almost everything was sold out. We (a family of 4) were able to find a suite for all of us in chic&basic, at first thinking we were settling for something subpar... We were wrong! This hotel has an attitude, it's so nice and unique. The staff were... More

We stayed here for 3 nights and had a room change after our first night as our room stank of sewage. Our first room on the ground was a nice size with plenty of room to store our bags and great decor. There was a little bit of noise from other guests at breakfast and people in the bar area... More
