The positives - great location. Very central and close to metro - breakfast included (typical continental style breakfast) - room was quite big The negatives - very steep staircases, so going with large bags and kids not really advisable - no elevator :-( - we had a front room (#1), canal facing and it was very noisy outside all during... The hotel is in a wonderful position, ten minutes by foot to Rembrandtplein, twenty minutes to Dam Plaza. It is in a typical neighborhood, on a canal. The room was good, but it might be improved in cleaning. The stairs were the only negative point, dangerous because too steep. Suggested for a short stay in Amsterdam.

I booked this because I was arriving in the evening and departing after breakfast, so just needed a bed and a shower. It was great for this purpose, but if I wanted to stay longer in the city I would definitely book another hotel. Pros: Quaint & relatively quiet location. Easy to get to/from central train station on the No.... More

We loved this hotel as it was far enough away from the red light district but still close enough to walk everywhere. Rene was very welcoming and a really friendly guy. The breakfast was excellent (bread, cheese, ham and cereals). The room was a good size and was quiet enough. I loved this old building and the surrounding area is... More

If you have never been to Amsterdam, you need to know that there is an old part with a typical "Amsterdam architecture" (beautiful narrow brick buildings located on the sides of the downtown canals). That is where you want to be and where most attractions are (Canals, Old buildings, famous neighbourhoods, Coffee Shops, Red Light District, Heineken Brewery, Anne Frank... More

This hotel is located not far from the most of tourist attractions in quite area on the beautiful canal. It is very easy to get here from the Amsterdam Centraal (direct tram which stops just opposite the hotel). My room was clean and tidy. Receptionists are very helpful guys. Breakfast was exellent, the set of dishes are the same every... More

I quite enjoyed my stay at the Prinsenhof. I have been to Amsterdam too many times to count, but I have not spent much time in the Rembrandtplein area and decided on my most recent trip that this area had to be investigated. The Prinsenhof is located quite close and was convenient to striking out to other parts of the... More

We were greeted by an enthusiastic woman who could not have made us feel more welcome. The rooms where very nice and bathrooms modern, and clean. There is off street secured parking. Brugge is a delight. It was my first trip and I will go back when I can stay longer.

Prinsenhof hotel was a hotel that I will never forget. Our porter welcomed us with the funniest way of opening a door ever; he pulled it up with a rope, sitting at the top of a really steep staircase, with a teasing sweet smile. The room was clean, pretty and quiet (except for the neighbors walking around). breakfast wasn't quite... More
