General cleanliness of the hotel was outstanding, light open bedroom with canal view was nice to arrive to. Friendly staff and would definitely return for another short break. Maybe add a mini fridge to the rooms to store bottled water and so on. Great stay!

We had four people in a room, four single beds and our room had two sinks, it's ow shower and toilet among with a beautiful view of the canal. I am definitely a fan and will stay again at this location. We didn't have the breakfast so I can't speak to that for €8 but it looked very good in... More

I've stayed in other one star Amsterdam hotels before and wasn't expecting a great deal from the Prinsenhof. The usual offering comes with tiny rooms, inadequate bath facilities and mountains of stairs. What a breath of fresh air the Prinsenhof proved to be. Lets start with the location - the tram stop is 50 yards from the front door and... More

In 2013 we had a terrific stay with a canal view room in the one star hotel. Wanting the same room after booking early I was advised "rooms have been renovated to include private facilities." I was not expecting to be staying in the attic! 65 steps up with very steep incline. The "canal view" was to climb a ladder... More

I was in a twin room, number 9 to be exact. Great facilities, and beautifully modern room. Very clean upon arrival and the host was accomodating. The location is perfect, just take the number 4 tram outside to go to the touristy centre or walk and find plenty to look at on the way. Only downside is there is no... More

Located a fair (30-45 minute), yet pleasant, walk from Amsterdam Centraal station, the Hotel Prinsenhof thoroughly met our needs. We had a twin room which was nicely furnished, with an en suite and shower which were generally clean throughout. Room was quiet and we slept well. Only complaint is the sheer amount of steep steps which were unwelcome after a... More

Stayed for three nights in Amsterdam, our first stop after coming off a 24 hour flight from Australia. Location perfect, had the top floor room and it was pretty spacious. We arrived early in the morning and badly needed a shower. We were lucky that the last guests had checked out early and although the room wasn't to be cleaned... More

We have been here for 4 nights and have felt really great about our choice of hotel. The location is really perfect, steps from the tram and overlooking one of the major canals in the city. Really great budget hotel. Small rooms but really fine. Great breakfast and very friendly staff. Just be aware that there are very steep stairs... More

Location was stellar, everything was walkable from here plus a tram station a stone's throw from front door. The staff was very accommodating, wifi strong, room was clean and calmly minimal. For the price it exceeded all expectations! Definitely recommend! Affordable breakfast optional as well.

I travelled with two friends for a few days in Amsterdam and we all were extremely happy with hotel prinsenhof! in a perfect location for any tourists with supermarket round the corner, tram station outside and major attractions in easy walking distance. Our room was lovely and clean and the hotel staff very nice! We also loved the beautiful setting... More
