I would highly recommend Prisenhof to anyone visiting Amsterdam. You get so much more than what you pay for. And the neighborhood is truly charming. It is nice to stay out on the canal belt as opposed to right at the heart of the city. Rooms are clean, beds are comfy, gorgeous views of the canal, and plenty of breakfast.... more

We stayed at Room 9 at Top floor. Nice view, private bathroom, comfortable bed. Tasty breakfast, friendly and helpful staffs. The traditional winch is so fun ! But remember to ask them if you want to use the winch to load your luggage. more

The place is very approachable by tram (No-4) right at the doorstep. It's a typical amsterdam house with friendly hosts. Very neat and clean, away from any noise. Very good and sumptious breakfast with exvellent canal view. A whole lot of informative books too are available for everyone. There's paid internet facility also. Clean, quiet, tiny hotel away from the downtown crowds. Rooms are small; hearty breakfast included. Staff is friendly and helpful. Many, many, many ethnic restaurants are closeby.
