The A Train hotel was very local to everything which is a good thing, but as for the staff, they Are very argumentative and one has one rule and another has a different rule. They need to train they're staff on the basics of the hotel. We had a couple of arguments with the hotel staff. Eg, wifi was 5euro... More

The rooms are small, even the big ones, but thats how it is in Amsterdam. Very convenient location, helpful, polite staff. Breakfast absolutely basic. Price a bit high, but again in line with what you expect tp pay there.

Just stayed here for a few days in Amsterdam. Overall the hotel was pretty basic, you get a few channels on the tv, a hairdryer and extra blankets but that's pretty much it that's "extra" however the beds were comfy and we slept reasonably well the time we were there, staff were also friendly at the reception and always had... A hotel themed on trains... I didn't know what to expect but on arrival, I must say I absolutely loved this odd and quirky theme as it just felt fun and comfortable... I think I actually fell in love with trains a little more thanks to this hotel! The hotel is situated across the road from Centraal Station making it... More

That's just about what describes this hotel. Although for the price you book at, that's what you're gonna get in Amsterdam. Stayed for 3 night in Jan 15, very centrally located. Easy accessibility to the metro, trams and markets. Would have liked a bit more variety in breakfast. Rooms are comfortable but very small. Over and all, if you're looking... More

Right across the plaza from the Centraal Train station and I have walked past this hotel many times over the years. I gave it a try it this time due to a good price. All the staff was super friendly and helpful. Totally quirky train motif and memorabilia everywhere from the 50's (maybe) on the ground floor. I had an... More

If you are a traveller and use the hotel for a very nice breakfast before going out and return to a good clean room, this is a very good proposal as from a pricing and star rating effect, I have done 4* and E300 hotels in Amsterdam and most of them does not live up to it. After 11 times... More

Just a funny hotel with good services. Small but cosy rooms. You should perhaps choose a room in the rear building due to traffic noise from the main roads in front of the hotel. Centrally located opposite the main train station.

My daughter and I really enjoyed our stay at A-Train. We took a short train ride from the airport and walked from the train station to the hotel. The staff is very personable and accommodating. The hotel is in a lovely, very old building, but nicely renovated. Some rooms might be small compared to chain hotels, but they are clean... More

“Reception staff were very accommodating, were happy and had great senses of humour. Were able to have a smoking room with a relax area so not too cramped. Bathroom very clean and nice shower and lots of hot water. Tasty breakfast with great bread. Not the buffet selection of some other hotels in Amsterdam but all fresh and good. Stored... More
