I loved this Hotel. The hotel is beautifully situated near the Vodelpark area, with in walking distance to Rijksmuseum and Van gogh museum. Breakfast was best of the one for us beacuse we have found fresh Tomatoes like our Home. We had a wonderful 1 night stay and looking forward to our visit again.

Lovely hotel. Friendly staff. Rooms were on the small side, bit they were clean and neat. Ours had its own balcony. It was a lovely stay. The hotel is very close to the main museum and an 15 minute tram ride from old Amsterdam. The trams are very easy and convieniet.

I totally recommend The Neighbor’s Magnolia. Probably the friendliest staff I've ever met at a hotel. I felt welcomed even before arriving, just with their e-mails (especial thanks for Gilberto, for the tips while there). Great neighborhood (not in the middle of the touristic fuss), easy to get to, clean and safe hotel - plus, it's in a typical building... More

We've been in this hotel on last 6th, 7th and 8th of Jan. Our stay in the hotel have been very nice below every aspect. The hotel keepers gave us a warm welcome and they helped us a lot with helpful suggestions on Amsterdam. The rooms, like the whole structure is very clean, and the room was very comfortable. The... I stayed here for an extension to a business trip elsewhere in the Netherlands. The service was excellent -- I was able to check in early, and was given very helpful advice on what to go see. The room was clean and, though basic, comfortable. I was very happy to be staying in a quieter neighborhood of Amsterdam; it was... More

The hotel is located in a typical "Amsterdam style" building which is really nice if you want to feel the spirit of Amsterdam. It is near Vondelpark and Van Gogh museum is just a few minutes walk which we liked since our main goal was to walk and we didn't care much about how close we are to Amsterdam Centraal... More

Your detailed review is very much appreciated. It helps us in improving both service and product. Thank you for the compliment to the team! And thank you for bringing the blanket situation to our attention. We will look into the option of offering guests a different duvet if they do not like having two separate duvets. Sorry about the WIFI,... More

It's a beautiful building and in a nice, quiet street which is great because so much happens around Amsterdam and it can get noisy and busy. It's well located, near the tram and walking distance from all major museums and from the city center. It's full of details and nicely decorated. You feel right at home. Also because everyone who... At Hotel The Neighbour's Magnolia you get a sufficient dosage of four C's that in my opinion beats almost anything! It's Cute, Comfortable, Convenient and Clean. Of course one could keep on adding C's like Cozy or Charming, but the above four make the point, don't you think? If the four C's is your recipe as well for a relaxed... More

Had a wonderful time at The Neighbour's Magnolia, and would definitely stay again. Very nice neighborhood away from the noise and chaos of the city center, but just a quick tram ride to anywhere I want to go. Beautifully maintained building and rooms, creative use of space, very nice people. It's a B&B style hotel in a historic building... understand... More

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighborhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
