Six of us stayed at the Rho hotel the first week of May. The location is fabulous, central to everything and moreover the staff did everything they could to make us as comfortable as possible. The last evening we decided to bring food in and they provided all the plates and utensils. This was very appreciated. Amsterdam is wonderful and so... More

This started badly with a less than attentive reception lady. I was given the wrong room which was single and very tiny. I went back to reception and the manager gave me the correct room. On inspection the hall was smelly on approach to the room. The new room was ok but had moaled and the safe was dated and... More

Good location, could walk to nearly every thing. Nice and big rooms. We were three adults sharing a room. Soft and comfortable beds. The shower was no good. Had to wait for 5min to get hot water. The bathroom needs a rehabilitation, kind of smelly in there. The breakfast was ok. There could be some fruits and some more healthy... More

First visit to Amsterdam for a two night stay. Location of this hotel is steps away from Dam Square, very central. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful and allowed us into their car park several hours before check-in time having arrived at about 10,30 am. Reception area is quite impressive having, I believe, to have been an old... More

Stayed here on British Airways deal. Price of package was good so I cannot really complain. We were told it was a 4 star but it is actually a 3 star. Room was spacious but very basis and not very modern. Beds comfortable, very soft as I like. Reception friendly enough. The walls are studwork with plasterboard so you can... More

How many times have I stared at the Rho? At least 30! And I have made my reservation for next time, as this hotel in a very central location (now a street which is getting very much modernised) continues to delight. Quiet spacious rooms, complimentary wifi, fab buffet breakfast, staff who go the extra mile, with courtesy and friendliness, fluent... More

Stayed four nights in this hotel. The location is very good and the breakfast is good and plenty. Staff was friendly in breakfast room but I cannot say the same about the reception. We had a visitor a mouse or a rat in our room the 3rd night! It had found its way to a plastic bag in our room... More

We turned up on the door step of the Rho hotel, long past midnight, having left our dirty hostel because of a terrible experience in desperate need for somewhere to stay. The wonderful staff at the Rho Hotel could see that we were two young backpackers on a budget who did not expect to be staying in a luxury hotel... More

Just spent 3 nights at this hotel. It's a no frills Boutique Hotel that used to be a Theatre. The lobby is the fanciest and most aesthetically part of the hotel. The hallways and rooms look like a dormitory, BUT the rooms are LARGE and have been updated, so they are both clean and comfortable as is the bed. The... More
