My family spent four nights at this hotel and we liked it a lot. We're a family of 4 and we stayed on the top floor in a quad room. The location is phenomenal and we fell in love with Amsterdaam exploring it from our safe and comfortable home base in the Hotel Hegra. I think it is important to... More

Very convenient location on a canal, clean and friendly, but definitely not recommended for seniors or those with mobility problems. We were on the top floor, very narrow and steep stairs, which for me was a major problem at age 75. I was okay climbing, but when descending I was scared of having a dizzy turn. Once down at street... More

Four of us stayed here for 3 nights and we absolutely loved it! The people who worked there were so friendly, relaxed and very helpful. Our room was nice and the en suite bathroom was good. The location is great - easy to find your way around and it is close to several shops including a supermarket and many restaurants.... More

Stayed here for 5 nights in Room 9 overlooking the rear of hotel. Room was very narrow with no wardrobe or drawer space but hanging rail for shorter clothes. The cleanliness and standard of decoration was very good and the toilet/shower room had been well refurbished with very good shower. The bed was very comfortable, but little space either side... This is the second time I have visited Amsterdam and both times I have stayed at Hegra Hotel and will definitely stay here again next time I come. The hotel is perfect for a group of friends visiting Amsterdam - stayed as part of a group of 4 and great being able to have a room which sleeps all. Great... More

My husband and I stayed for 3 nights and can't fault this small budget hotel. Location was perfect for exploring the center and close to the Jordaan area, we also walked to Museumplein which was only 20min away. Rooms were clean and cosy. Wifi was fast and worked perfectly. Excellent value hotel! We would highly recommend it and wouldn't hesitate... More

this is a real attraction. This small house hotel is placed in the middle of town and its a beauty. Small cosy rooms and a wonderful service of the people running it. Fresh pressed juice for breakfast and loving service. Friendly shiny happy people....run and buy.

Hotel Hegra is an excellent place for a city trip in Amsterdam. The hotel is located on the Herengracht, 5 minutes by walk from the center of the city (Dam). The house is typical from the center of Amsterdam. That means that you don't have a lift but the view on the canal is wonderful. The staff is very friendly... More

The location is outstanding and worth the visit. But don't expect anything else than this. The rooms are very clean but extremely small. One guy from the staff acted as if he didn't like his job (or maybe just people??) whereas the other two guys were both friendly and helpful. The breakfast is okay and a good alternative to the... Stayed with four friends , this hotel was great and in a good location ! Within walking distance of most places. We got the train from the airport and then a taxi to the hotel which was easy enough and cheaper than getting a taxi straight from the airport so if your on a budget this is a good option.... More

A brilliant place to get lost in a moody meander and a key component to any sightseeing trip to Amsterdam, this area's major draws include the Anne Frank House, the Bloemenmarkt floating flower market, an enviable assortment of independent boutiques along De Negen Straatjes, and of course all of Grachtengordel’s lovely canals and bridges.
