Loes, Hans and staff were excellent hosts and made me feel welcome and well supported. That, along with free phone service anywhere in the Netherlands and to the States, e-mail, a great breakfast each day, and a perfect location (easy walking distance to the museums, Vondelpark, and Leidseplein), made this hotel a fabulous bargain.

We stayed five nights at the Fita the last week of April, 2007. The location of the hotel is outstanding. The major art museums and the most upscale shopping in the city are within a block or so, and the hotel is well-served by trams 2 and 5 (Central Station.) We paid 150 euros per night for a sunny corner... More

My son Matthew (age 6) and I spent 4 nights at Hotel Fita in April 2007. First, the hotel is spotless! We had a standard room and the bathroom was 3 times the size of most European bathrooms and it was very, very clean. The bed was comfortable, a flat screen TV, safe to store valuables, closet and hot pot.... More

I was very pleased with the Hotel Fita! Loes met me with a drink when I arrived, which set a very good mood. The rooms were very clean and well appointed, the room had a ceiling fan, windows that open for fresh air, and great water pressure in the shower. They offer laundry services, free phone calls to the US,... More

Great location in quiet residential area – close to museums, easy access walk/tram to everywhere in the city and beyond. Room spotlessly clean and fresh, good breakfast and great coffee. Loes gave us first rate information on what is available to see and do in Amsterdam – invaluable to any visitor. We had a very enjoyable stay at Hotel Fita.... More

My wife and I stayed at this hotel in april 2007. We got an standard double room, and stayed there for 4 nights. It is an average hotel: 1. the location is not bad (just opposite to Van Gogh's museum, well-served by tram's lines, and about 15-20 minutes from Centraal Station by tram); 2. the staff is fine; 3. the... I am an active participant on Trip Advisor. My husband and I do quite a bit of traveling for business and pleasure and we never hesitate to rely on trip advisor's reviews. The reviews are usually accurate about the hotels we have stayed in. At the time we made our reservation at the Fita Hotel it was listed as #5... More

We recieved a friendly and informative welcome, but no champagne or personal touches. Although clean, the room was incredibly cold. We made several attempts to get the problem fixed but were ignored and in the end gave up. We even considered moving to another hotel but as it was only for two nights we suffered it instead. The room was... More

We spent four nights here in Oct 2006 and were given a beautiful, large corner room at the front of the building. Hans de Rapper, the owner, guided us to our room, brought us a complimentary glass of champagne, then told us about the free in-room laptop for internet access, free long distance phone service, free laundry service, and complimentary...
