Lovely room, nice breakfast and friendly host. But the best of this hotel is its location: a few steps from the Museumplein (the square with the Van Gogh Museum, Rijksmuseum and Stedelijk Museum). Tip: visit the Rijksmuseum early in the morning (the Rijks opens at 9 o'clock). And try to get tickets for the Concertgebouw!

the hotel is very clean and comfortable. A bar would help as hotel seems more like a guest house. The friendliness of the staff is great. the breakfast is good an it is well worth a stay.No meals other than breakfast available but many good restaurants nearby.

A great hotel with fantastic service from the staff. Detailed explanation on places to go to with a free map. Wonderful breakfast in the morning - Must order the pancakes especially those made by Roel. Great rooms, clean and perfect for us as a couple. They even had laundry service for free! Location was A+ just a very short walk... More

Stayed for a long weekend after finding it through TripAdvisor. The staff are so warm and welcoming, we weren't disappointed. The hotel is nice and in a good location for museums, its about 25min walk to the central station. Rooms are pleasant, they're not luxurious, but that's not what you come here for. They're clean, large, and well maintained. Breakfasts... More

Nothing but great things to say about this hotel! The staff was extremely friendly & helpful, the rooms were big and clean, and the location was perfect. Breakfast was also good - especially the pancakes! The hotel is in a quieter area of Amsterdam but right next to the Van Gogh Museum & Rijksmuseum. It's only a short walk to... More

Great hotel. Friendly owner, very helpful. Great location. Really nice room. Perfect place to stay. Thanks to the previous reviewers I booked our stay here on their reviews, not let down. A find and anytime in the future I am in Amsterdam I will try to stay at this hotel.

This trip to A'dam we decided to stay at Hotel Fita, and we are so happy we did. From the moment we arrived, we felt like part of the family that run the hotel. They are very, very kind, and eager to make you feel comfortable and "at home" during your whole stay. Room 24 is large and comfortable, extremely... More

The staff are so friendly and happy to help! The hotel is only 15 minutes from the centre of Amsterdam and was easily accessible by tram which was easy to work out. The rooms were clean and had everything we needed. 10/10 would recommend.

What can I say that hasn't already been mentioned in prior reviews? Nothing, really. Like most everyone else, I can only rave about the friendly, helpful staff, the delicious breakfast, the fabulous location. The hotel also has other features important to me. It is spotlessly clean and very quiet. The wifi is swift and reliable. You really can't go wrong... More

The owners are very helpful with everything! They emailed me prior to my arrival with directions from the airport, gave us a map and recommendations upon our arrival, helped us with our bags, and provided free laundry service! They also have guidebooks for the city you can borrow. The breakfast is delicious and included fresh homemade dutch pancakes! The location... More

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighborhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
