Perfect location. Decent breakfast and nice little garden to sit in. The only problem here is the very thin walls. Right now I am listening to the neighbour watch TV and they don't have it turned up loud, its just mounted on a wall that provides no sound barrier. Last night our neighbour came home at 0300 am and we... More

Very good location, just a few minutes walk from Leidseplein. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Room are small but they generally are in Amsterdam. Very clean with comfortable beds. There's a love little courtyard outside. I would be happy to stay there again as the facilities are value for money, but it is the staff that make the... More

Stayed here 3 nights mid week, getting the 197 bus from stand B11 at the airport €5 each way, getting off at Leidseplein, a short walk past the Marriot hotel we found the Owl Hotel in a quiet street. We had room 32 on the second floor, a lift up, and a quite steep staircase down. Our room was very... More

We spent 4 days in Amsterdam and we were fortunate to book the Owl hotel for our stay there. Very central location, but on a quiet street, within walking distance to museums and parks. Lovely people, helpful and attentive to our needs. Breakfast is not to be missed.

Had a 3 night stay on my first visit to Amsterdam with a friend. Single room was perfect size with good size bathroom, all very clean. Staff always helpful and courteous who will help with best way to get around the city. From Schipol Airport take airport express 197 to Leidseplein, then short walk to hotel. Perfect location for our... More

6 blocks from the Museumplein, short walk to shopping street Leidsestraat. Good breakfast. Bath/shower a touch cramped. Lots of hot water. Small room and bed. Friendly and helpful staff. Compared to local hotels good value.

Great little hotel for the following reasons: Location - 10 min walk to the Rijks Museum and a another 5 mins to the Van Gogh. Similar distance to lots of restaurants and bars. Near trams and water taxis too. Friendly staff - always on hand to answer queries etc. Breakfast - self service continental style - cereals / toast /... More

Last May I had the chance to visit Amsterdam again and spend four days there, this time just for pleasure! My first thought was to see if it would be possible at all to shake-off the first impression I had of this beautiful city: that of crowded and noisy places and of pesky bikes!! And the first thing I had... More

A clean little hotel close to the Leidseplein & Vondelpark. Spent 3 nights at the Owl over a weekend and was very satisfied with the hotel. The Owl is very much a budget hotel and is clean, quiet and very close to city centre and buses/ trams. Breakfast was continental but absolutely fine in a nice relaxed atmosphere, I've no... More
