I booked this hotel as had a Garden House accomodation in the grounds out back of hotel for 3 nights and was very happy i did as was travelling with my daughters 11 and 13 and loved it. Close to all attractions on the canal ring. Garden House had 2 bedrooms and even had our own private seating area one... More

We were in a room on the top floor. The view over the rooftops of Amsterdam was superb and one of the reasons this review is topped with 3 stars. I usually refrain from giving overly scathing reviews, but for the price we paid I at least expected a clean room (I wasn't expecting anything big or ornate, because, you... More

We stayed here while visiting for a concert and it was an excellent base for the weekend. Our room was bright and airy and had a great view overlooking the water. There was also a beautiful windowbox bursting with flowers which spilled through the window when it was open which was awesome. Such a pretty setting! Bed was comfy and... More

A nice little hotel which is very good for the price. Rooms were clean and comfortable if a little worn in parts. They were carrying out some renovations while we were there so maybe the hotel is being spruced up gradually as rooms become vacant. Our double room was a decent size. Single rooms were narrow but comfortable and, after... More

Tired but clean. Disappointed as I booked 2 rooms overlooking canal (2 months before actual travel) and got two shoeboxes overlooking the garden. Theye put coffee machines in those cubicles but for 4 nights one gets 2 pods of coffee per room (for a double room!) After that you have to buy your pods....Why bother putting coffee machines? Will certainly... More

Having visited Amsterdam before, we chose this hotel based on the fact that we believed it to be in the best part of Amsterdam to stay - on the nicest canal in the city, close enough to be central to everything but just far enough away from the crazyness of the heart of the city that you avoid the worst... It's clean, convenient and not too pricey for what it is. Decor is a little tired but everything does the job. I'd probably stay again if im travelling alone on a short stop. Unspectacular but perfectly functional.

I stayed there early November for 4 nights and had a good size room on the canal. The room was clean and the service very good. I was impressed by the breakfast which was included. Only a few restaurants nearby but it is easy to walk to the busy center. Has an elevator which is not the case in many... More

The superior double room is a must with the canal view. Very romantic and relaxing. The only thing missing was a radio or a TV music station and a kettle. The bathroom should be furnished with some hooks for towels, but it was clean and very helpful and professional staff, which makes a difference. No smoking rooms, which is a... More

We stayed in the hotel after booking it via another site by searching Amsterdam City Centre, this was the first option and we didn't know much about Amsterdam at the time. The hotel is a good 15-20 mins walk from Dam square. Is 20 mins walk from Anne Frank House. You get quicker by tram, having a 5min walk. Didn't... More
