We stayed with our adult son in suite C and were really comfortable. The location so close to the centre was fantastic and though we are in our 70s we walked everywhere. The fridge enabled us to have a leisurely breakfast in our room - a lovely start to the day with great views. The stairs are steep - but... More

What a great experience. The rooms were excellent. We had two rooms facing the canals. Large windows allow for great people watching. Good AC on the warm days. The hotel's location is amazing, we were able to walk everywhere. Worth the cost here in Amsterdam.

If you truly want to experience Dutch life several 100 years ago, stay at this wonderful small, unique hotel and you won't be disappointed. Beware that the stairs are original building, very steep, but oh so fun to climb. Pack small suitcase so you can get it to the room. Loved this place, including view of canal and extra lovely... The hotel is located within walking distance to the city centre. Two rooms are located in two historic houses – be aware that because these are historic building there are some steep steps to climb. The rooms are filled with quirky antiques (apparently in mine there was a table from a café where Franc Kafka was writing). The owners are... More

We are a family of three,we stayed 3 nights in suite C (canal view). The hotel is a historical building ,1700 s, therefore has a unique atmosphere. Pros: -great location -great view from the room -very good wifi Cons: -small bathroom Note: Suite C was perfect for us(provided that you do not have any problem with stairs!)

Stayed 3 night in this lovely little hotel. Location was perfect and the room was quaint - almost like staying with your grandmother. I forgot some clothes in a drawer which the manager of the hotel sent to me promptly without any extra charges. All in all very good and personal service. I can recommend this hotel to anyone who... This Hotel is a gem. Clean rooms, lovely, artful decor, and furnishings, that make for a wonderful ambiance. I have been fortunate to have seen many rooms at this hotel and stayed in different rooms before. My experience has always been wonderful. The owners, Pierre and Guenter are very helpful and accommodating. The location is top. The charm of this... More

Me and my wife stayed in Suite C in the middle of May, 2015 and enjoyed every minute of it. This spacious and elegant room, decorated and furnished with good taste, always made us linger there longer than necessary. We were enchanted by the magnificent view on the channels just below our windows with joyful boat parties passing by and... More

I stayed in this hotel and was a bit disappointed in the room. I stayed in the Canal Suite which would have been fine except the bed covers, couch cover and rug looked worn and dirty. With a few small changes in these items it could have been quite charming. Also there was a strange smell that permeated the bedroom... More

What a beautiful hotel! A bit noisy on the canal side but great views. Walking distance to everything. I love this place. The narrow stairs are great but seriously, you don't want a big suitcase here.
