I went to Amsterdam with 20 friends. So I knew all the people in my room (8 beds). Otherwise I never slept in this hostel. Toilets are in front of beds. The shower is too small and you cannot close the door correctly. Breakfast is included and correct for people under 25 years old. If you want to visit Amsterdam... More

This trip was my first tour abroad, and my first realy trip alone. I was supposed to be in Prague this night, but missed a flight and ended up having to overnight. I panicked because most of the hostels were booked right up, but these guys had one private room left. They're located right in the middle of the action,... More

Stayed here 3 nights, 6th floor 4 bunk room - very comfortable, each room has different mural artwork, 6th floor rooms all had balconies for smoking-- Bar downstairs, food OK and fairly reasonable prices for Amsterdam. Have stayed at the Bulldog previosuly, and in comparison this is better - though they have the same feel and style. Luggage lockers for... More

I've been to Amsterdam twice before but always stayed up near Leidseplein in B&B's. St Christophers was recommended by the friend I was travelling with so we booked it. This place is a hostel, be aware of that first of all. But, it's clean, it's incredibly convenient and it's secure. It's basic and there are no frills but if you... More

Stayed here for two nights, on the ground floor. Was a little noisy being next to a street with people around all night but wasn't as bad as it could have been. Great ensuite bathroom with seperate toilet (very handy). The bed was really comfy with a fantastic pillow and nice linen. Not the best ventilation, a fan or more... More

Went to Amsterdam for the weekend and got 2 nights for £180. This seems expensive for what is ostensibly a hostel. The bar at the bottom is gross and filled with stag do's but being this close to the action in A'dam, I guess that is expected. The beds were soft but comfy, the bathroom fine, the room was never... Just understand what this place is prior to booking....a hostel, with a hostal staff, very busy with backpackers, loud music at night, all day/night bar, etc. With that said, I love this place. Very down to Earth and real. No frills, defintely not a family atmosphere, but there are 2 for 1 Becks at the bar all day, everyday. You... More

When we booked a room at this hotel (which is more like a hostel, actually), we knew it would be small and very artsy, so we were well prepared for that experience and managed with it, since the price was right and the location - fantastic. However, we didn't know we would have to deal with these issues: 1. The... More

St. Christopher's is a hot spot for young kids. If you like to party this is the place for you. We stayed in room 604 4-person ensuite room decorated with XXXXX decor. The rooms on the 6th floor have a balcony which offered limited views. We had to ask for the balcony. Some of the tiles on the balcony were... More

Great location, pretty bizarre bedroom with random 'artwork' on the walls. The shower was a force to be reckoned with as was too high to reach and came it in random spurts of water going everywhere including the bathroom floor. Unfortunately the hotel is in ringing distance of the local church, so every hour, on the hour, we heard the... More
