When i entered the Hans Brinker (it's been a while actually), i had no clue that this hostel is known around Europe. I liked the people there, the atmosphere was good, dim lights, just nice. We got food for free, and a beer (i remember one of the crew hitting the beer machine in a very specific way to release... More

stayed with my partner when traveling around Europe in July 2014. Amsterdam is generally expensive for accommodation and this was the worst city we visited for value for money with accommodation. however i definitely recommend visiting Amsterdam and if you are on a budget, you won't get much better for your money than the Hans Brinker. the staff were very... The place have a very good location, near to everything! The bar is nice, with happy hour (double drinks) everyday! The breakfast is wonderful too! The bedroom is nice, good space, lockers and very clean. The bedding wasn't so clean. I complained but they haven't changed this for me... No wi-fi at bedroom!

Everything about this hostel was crappy, from the wifi connection to the rooms, beds and environment buts its the cheapest and doesn't claim to be much more. Staff were always to occupied doing nothing to engage or have a laugh.

I knew it was going to be a party hostel when I signed up for it, but the price was comparable to other places and the location was ideal for what I wanted to do in the city, so I said what the heck. Sure enough, I found out that I was too old. Everyone there is roughly 18-22 (I... More

This hostel does not promise any fancy perks, though it provides everything the backpacker needs. Rooms were clean, beds were comfy enough. Location was ideal, right in the centre of Amsterdam, within walking distance of all main attractions. The hostel was very big and had a friendly atmosphere with a large common area and a club inside, making it very... More

Hans Brinker is a very decent Hostel, its big and clean, very well located (about a 10min Metro ride from Amstedam Centraal station) or 25min walk, is within walking distance of the centre of Amsterdam and all the sights. Offers a decent free breakfast (boiled eggs, crepes, cereal, fruit, yogurt, cheeses, cold meats etc.). Has wifi but only downstairs. Has... More

Overall a decent stay. Had a six person mixed room near the bar it was loud all night and day but a good room for size. Staff were all knowledgeable and helpful and very good location for all the major sites. Internet was limited which was annoying but there is a MacDonald's around the corner with free WiFi.

My friends and i stayed at this hostel for 3 days and 3 nights and were very pleased with our short stay. We stayed in an 8 bed dorm which was pleasant enough although wifi coverage in our particular room was poor and it was quite cramped. The Hans Brinker bar offered reasonably priced, good food and it had a... More

It is what it is.. Very basic but as travellers it was a great location for the price. Don't expect much, and don't panic when you realise you have no pillow - look in the locker. Bathroom... No comment but would do for 2 nights max. Cheapest place you will probably find in Amsterdam and if your happy with basic... More
