I travelled with a group of 10 friends and wanted to stay in a central location. The hotel is a short walk from Leidseplein so was perfect for the weekend away we had planned. For the price, the hotel was excellent, we booked the private rooms rather than dorms and the beds were comfortable and the en suite bathrooms were... More

It's cheap, and that is reflected in the hostel...however it is in a good location, it's clean, it offers free breakfast (with toast, meat, cereal and hot drinks etc), and has a nice bar with cheap drinks. Just don't expect too much and enjoy your time in a wonderful city. I would definitely recommend it to a budget traveler.

People working there is just amazing! Everyone is relaxed, everything is allowed, the chicks are really pretty and nice (in the reception and a girl at the kitchen), its totally not expensive for whats offered, its not hot or cold, you get a place to charge your phone and a normal bathroom... The basement has a disco that sometimes is... More

This place was definitely great for travelling on a budget. It has a great vibe and it's definitely not as bad as they 'advertise' themselves. Breakfast was nice and the location is really good as well. It's right across the road from a bike hire shop and just up the road from a few coffee shops. The rooms were average... More

A group of 3 of us stayed here in the beginning of August 2015 while interrailing. This hostel is really nice, it had a great atmosphere and really nice staff. The place is very clean and straight forward, you get what you pay for and no hidden charges. The beds were very comfortable, the rooms had lockers and each room... More

This place has a great atmosphere and is not as bad as people are making it out to be. Yes its not the best hostels we have stayed in but it sure as hell is not the worst. The bar is great for meeting people and the location is fantastic. Overall I cannot fault this hostel.

I was on a nostalgia trip as I had stayed here in 1975. We thought we would just stop in for a beer. There was a man behind the bar but he was helping two young women with tourist tips. We waited patiently but he never even acknowledged our presence. After the women left, we gave up. I took some... More

Great location, walking distance to most places in Amsterdam. The included breakfast was delicious however the line does get very long so don't leave it too late! Great happy hour and reasonably priced food and drinks at all times of the day. The shower wasn't great but it wasn't really an issue. An extra powerpoint or two would have been... More

If your looking for luxury at these prices in the centre of Amsterdam take a long hard look in the mirror and double check that you're still attached to reality. In comparison to other hostels this place is quite clean, despite advertising itself as one step up from a landfill site, and the breakfast can be quite good for a... More

Was anxious to stay at this hostel after reading many mixed reviews however for the €5 a night you can't go wrong! Has all your basic essentials, bed, shower, toilet, fresh towels daily (however I would suggest taking your own, as they are very small). We stayed on the first floor and were expecting it to be noisy from the... More
