This is probably my 10th trip to Amsterdam, first time at this hostel. 4 girls, we stayed in a 6 person dorm room. The room was okay size, but the floor was filthy, and the toilet the same. 2 guest were already checked in when we arrived, both clearly used the showers, and left them in despicable state. The place... More

Have never stayed in a hostel and was unsure of what to expect. its not the Ritz but i did not pay Ritz prices either. We were a group of 9 lads and it suited us fine. Well located and a short tram ride into dam square and a very short walk to bars and restaurants. The bar in the... More

Budget hotel and hostel. Prices reflect the rooms, cheap budget hostel you get a bed and a pillow!! Good for students or people who just need a quick rest at a evening..... lets be honest when your in Amsterdam you only want a bed at night.... so basically great hostel if this is what you need. nothing bad to say... Snorers in a dorm… We hate them too! Next time: get your free earplugs at reception :) We don’t pretend to be anything fancy, so we’re happy you were okay with that. Basic but cheap! See you soon! More

We had a really comfortable stay here. The breakfast provided was awesome though not complimentary. The hotel was situated at walking distance from the Museum Square. The staff was super helpful. We had by mistake made booking for a right date but in the wrong month the receptionist was super cool about it and adjusted our booking without any charges.... More

Thanks so much for your kind review! Just one note: breakfast is free :), you can have some extras, like juice, that you pay for, but next to that it’s all complimentary! More

This is great for young groups of friends who are willing accept what they pay for. The rooms are very small, but the beds are comfy and it's a good base. The downstairs bar is a good feature, you can smoke inside there and it's a great way to star the night.

Maybe it was Sally the spider? But if it’s anyone else than her: please go to reception! We don’t like insects, so we destroy most of them. Except for Sally. Sally’s good. More

Me and three other girls took a girls trip to Amsterdam an chose to stay at the Hans Brinker. It was a wonderful experience, the staff was great and it was also very clean. We enjoyed the bar in the hotel and the happy hour deals. It's also very centrally located.

Affordable, great location within walking distance to tram stop, near leidseplein and near rijksmuseum. The food is great considering its a budget hostel. We stayed in a room for 4 people for 1 night, and then stayed in a room for 6 people for another 2 days. The bunk-bed doesn't have a ladder, so it's a bit difficult for people... More

Thanks so much for your detailed review! We hope you weren’t too scared for the elevator… Nothing ever happened with them, so no need to worry :). I’m happy that you were happy with our staff too! I can't fathom how anyone could give this hostel a positive review. The interior feels like an old mental institution, there are no ladders to get onto the top bunk and our bathroom smelled of sewage.

Hi! Maybe people like the feeling of an old mental institution? Although I doubt that old mental institutions had a club in the basement… Also, we call ourselves a hotel because we have many rooms with only 2 beds. That’s the reason. Anyway! Thanks anyway for the review, the ladders we are working on and the smell as well. More

This UNESCO World Heritage Site is as historically significant as it is perennially popular. Whether you’re a history buff, architecture enthusiast, shutterbug, or fashionista, odds are you’ll find the Amsterdam you're looking for while roaming around the Grachtengordel (Canal Ring). A brilliant place to get lost in a moody meander and a key component to any sightseeing trip to Amsterdam, this area's major draws include the Anne Frank House, the Bloemenmarkt floating flower market, an enviable assortment of independent boutiques along De Negen Straatjes, and of course all of Grachtengordel’s lovely canals and bridges.
