We booked this bevause we stayed at St Christophers Inn, Berlin which was great. We checked with them on availability for Amsterdam, heard it was simillar vibe, we were very wrong. Thought we booked for two nights, came back to see we'd been checked out with other people checked in while our stuff was still upstairs, turns out it was... More

Excellent sightseeing location - less than 15 mins walk to Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum, StedelijkMuseum, and the vast greenery of Museumplein. Staff are decent and generally helpful, but not really warm and friendly because they look busy all the time. I stayed in a 10-men dorm. Beds were comfy and clean, but the underbed metallic lockers sounded like they needed... More

We stayed at the Flying Pig Uptown for three nights - one night in a shared dorm and two nights in private double room with ensuite. As this was one of my first hostel stays, I have waited until later in my trip to review so I could compare it with others. Knowing what I know now, I would have... More

The hostel is well located, but it has lot of sairs!!! The bed is ok, the restrooms are fine. But the roommates are a little unpolite, they turn on the lights in the middle of the night. If you want to party the entire night, this is perfect for you. But if yoy have the intention of have a night... More

You really cannot beat the location of this hostel, opposite Vondel Park and only a short 5min walk to the casino and canal area of Amsterdam. I stayed in a 12 bed dorm that was located on the top floor,,,, this is where the problems begin.... now when I say an "excessive amount of stairs" I am putting it nicely!... More

Stayed here with a few friends in October - very high quality boutique hostel - rooms are lovely and clean, and with funky decorations. All the beds were really comfy with what seemed like brand new sheets and blankets. The brekky was awesome - wholemeal toast and boiled eggs are a rarity when it comes to free hostel brekky and... If this hostel isn't perfect, it is very close. The only issue is that it is a.tad far to walk to the centre of town from the hostel, but if you have a bike it is no issue. The staff were very friendly and even offered to show me around a few times and also invited me for a BBQ... More

If you are American, I highly recommend staying at another hostel. While this hostel was in an excellent location– in the middle of the all the museums– our group was continuously insulted by nearly all of the guests and some of the staff of the hostel. I loved everything about Amsterdam except staying at this place. Unless you want to be... More

- Rooms: comfy beds, covers & pillows. Cages under beds or lockers to put things in (BYO padlock, or buy from reception). Big windows. I stayed on 3rd floor and was really surprised that didn't have any issues with noise (other than one person coming in late once). Sink in the room for brushing teeth etc. - Shared bathrooms: I... Fantastic hostel with a good vibe. Stayed in a 3 bed dorm, comfortable beds. Clean and spacious showers. VERY steep stairs but this is very common throughout Amsterdam even some bars we went to. Great location directly opposite Vondel Park and walking distance to the sights. Included breakfast was a nice bonus. Would definitely stay here again.
